  • His voice is crazy!!!!! Damn you don't see talent like this today!

  • This is what u show people who say "oh led zepp is crap and the o2 performance was crap!" cos baby when led zepp were in the biz you'd be burnt for blaspheming!

  • this isnt rare anymore, it hasnt been rare for years

  • The drums at 3:51!

  • ah man I'de give up everything to be there.

  • not rare, i have the DVD

  • there is nothing like this now.

    this is art.

  • I like Page's hair like this :p

And his dress code. He be one fine motherfucker.

  • jimmy :)

  • This isn't rare... wasn't it on the double DVD of Zeppelin performances? Or Mothership?

  • Your right it is on the DVD!!

  • The Double DVD

  • lols jimmy page long hair

  • Led Zeppelin

    Masters of Rock

  • i am 15 and i play this song with my band but not as good as Zeppelin

  • im about to be 24 and robert plant was doin this at 21. my life sucks

  • if it helps you i think that jimmy page was 24 when he started led zep....so still lot of time for you...

  • lmfao

    Yea it does

    Noob

  • don't worry... you're not the only one who thinks like that :D

  • is this an antique vid.??haha^^

  • It seems the JPJ moved more back in the early days of Led zeppelin.

  • hahah true true

  • This is back when Plant's voice could do anything. He didn't have to cut any corners back then.

  • very very true

  • this is not a rare vid i have the dvd it comes with the album mothership

  • not rare, i have the DVD

  • I love zeppelin so much

  • i love how he adds, im gonna give you every foot of my love - it really messes with the imagery..

  • I don't know about you but I measure in feet. lol

  • Also, it sucks that in this footage, you can't see Page making the noises with the theremin. Gotta look at Earls Court for that...

  • Hardly rare...

And by the way, Led Zeppelin is my all time favorite band, and contains my favorite singer, drummer, bassist, and guitar/riff creator, but if you listen to Jimi Hendrix's Hey Joe, you can hear the possible origins of the Whole Lotta Love riff.

  • because this genre of music is mostly based on the pentatonic scale there are bound to be duplicates of riffs and phrases, i know what you're talking about in "hey joe" but its not like page copied him

"whole lotta love" is based on a sone originally written* by willie dixon.

  • Amon Duul II have a riff that's the same too and it was before the Led Zeppelin one.

  • I think you really mean that Icky thump sounds like the the bridge....They were the trend setters no the other way around.

  • Not rare at all. It's on the Led Zeppelin DVD. Thanks for the false advertising!

  • oops my bad - yep it is WLLuv - just bought the DVD

  • OMG i have Robert's necklace

  • lmao the mini fill after the bridge sounds just like the white stripes "Iky Thump"

  • NICE.

  • la obra mas maestrisima del rock & roll

  • This isn't rare, it's on a dvd.

    Still great.

  • whole lotta love's riff was created exclusively by page..this song IS a original one and btw one of their greatest hits

  • Do you happen to have Robert Plant's band from 1994 Montreaux Pop Festival?

They play Whole Lotta Love and other Classics but with 2 Guitar players!

    Wack!

  • long live Jimmie Page!@!@!@!@!@!@!@

  • Oh my God, I am in love with Robert Plant.

  • well this isnt defo not rare.....for one its on mothership dvd...and its one of the most common live versions of the song out

  • this isn't rare this is at royal albert hall about as famous as their concert at knebworth.

  • yes it is

  • yeah it is plant says it like thirty times.

  • lol true

  • Actually, Robert Plant and Page did say Traditionally(Original song writer) for their blues covers IE: I can't quit you babe.

  • the no bloody gay u noob

  • good tune

  • I love how everybody gives Zeppelin shit for "Stealing" songs but Jimi Hendrix did the same thing, everybody called it genius and he was just "Covering" it, and nobody says anything bad about it.

    It's just great...Right?

(I'm being sarcastic if you didn't know.)

  • The big difference is that Hendrix gave the original writers credit.

  • if your gonna dis a band at least spell the bands name right

  • What you don't seem to understand is the fact that led zeppelin was born out of solid blues music. borrowing from your influences in blues is a very standard thing. its not stealing because your making the song your own with new riffs and lyrics. robert johnson it all started with him for blues..... and then willie dixon does something..... and then led zeppelin starts something.....so do not dis a good band

  • Fuck you you know nothing in music fucking faggot go die infected pussy ...LED ZEPPELIN are god and youre nothing

  • said the emo, pshaa man, emo is the poster child for getting abortions, the rock n roll is probably just too in your face i guess, puss

  • Lol that isn't that rare.

  • is robert on drugs?

  • is the sky blue? is the grass green? is this the greatest band ever? YES.

  • totally agreed. They could be Martians as far as I am concerned. They made the best music. (period) No difference.

  • Of course. They all are. Especially Page.

  • WOOHOO....GET THE LED OUT!!!

  • Yes Jimmy Page.

    But, two words: John Bonham!

  • You need coolin, baby, Im not foolin,

  • 2 words jimmy page

  • YA you said it and you also have to love ROBERT PLANT LOVE JENNY XOX

  • The besto band all time.. Page is the one guitar of the world...

  • i can do half the solo lol

  • no way to describe this but awesome! what a performance!

  • not rare, i have the DVD

  • I wanna be your backdoor man... whoooooooooo!!!!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • To już tyle lat...a emocje wciąż te same...;)

  • Dokładnie, piękna muzyka. Bez dwóch zdań rock lat '70-ych to kwintesencja dobrej, przemyślanej muzyki. Swoiste arcydzieła na miarę Beethovena czy Chopina. :P

  • greatest rock song ever!! go guys!!!!!!!!!!

  • they totally rule dude

  • i know i luv it ;)

  • awsome!!!!! =] >3

  • fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cool! perfect

  • iv known that now music sucks all i listen to is from the 70s

  • This was only RARE before the year of 2003

  • rare? isn't rare!

  • I love how 3 of the tags are "stairway to heaven"

  • who can match with led zeppelin. o yea wait no one

  • that's all folks...

  • I remember when Led Zep II came out..it changed everything. we listened to it over and over. I was about ten. those white boys HAVE the blues, somehow....

  • Music Of Today SUCKS!!!

    i love 70's...

Long Live James Patrick Page,I LOVE YOU...

  • OMG the hair the clothes, the music im sure the atmosphere was amazing. GOD I LOVE THE 70S TOO BAD I WAS BORN IN 76.

  • Heard that Jimmy Page and Leona Lewis perform 'Whole Lotta Love' at the end of Olympic the 24/8 - anybody knows or could confirm that ????

  • yeah..he performed it with leona lewis...he rocked infront of the whole world....man i cant explain how i missed plant n JPJ..

  • is that the best guitar riff ever or WHAT!?

  • My first comment on YouTube ever...............

Very rarely do you hear anyone do a song live and make it sound just as good as the original,if not better. This is one of those times, and of course, who better to do it than Zeppelin?

  • bloody hell men...they are totally stoned.

  • of course, in New York City Yankee stadium, 1975

  • Always is really Fantastic being part of the audience in any of the concerts of the Zeppelin, to hear their great performances.

  • you've been to a zeppelin concert?

  • robert plant seems to sound more like the recorded versions in the early concerts. and btw this is led zeppelin not the who lol

  • No I was replying to someone who listed the top frontmen, but left out Roger Daltrey.

  • 1. Robert Plant

    2. Freddie Mercury

    3. Roger Daltrey

    4. Axl Rose (except he always instructing security)

  • Robert Plant CoWrote "Stairway to Heaven"...

The greatest song on the planet...

That overtakes any song Freddie might have written (I Accept he is very very good)...Just that Plant is slightly better than Freddie).

  • No. BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY,The March of the Black Queen,My Fairy King,Love of my life wrote Freddie Mercury...they aren't worser than STH.!!!

they both are the greatest...it is not right to argue now.

  • this is rare??????

  • great

  • this is definitley not rare

  • this isnt rare footage---but thank you. I love this song.

  • buena, led zeppelin...

  • greatest band of all time !!!!!@!@!

  • you need foolin'... woman i aint foolin'... the only frontman i know that makes a mistake on the lyrics and makes it the best mistake of all time

  • Best 3 frontmen of classic rock:

    1. Robert Plant

    2. Freddie Mercury

    3. Jimi Hendrix

Tis the voices that I like

  • what 'bout Gilmour?

  • Roger Daltrey?

  • Errr fuck yes

    Daltrey is great

    How could I forget!??!

  • Hendrix wasn't really a "frontman", he was more of a guitarist that sang. I'm not saying he wasn't probably the most innovative guitarist to ever live, but he wasn't a frontman.

  • i have this whole concert on dvd

  • Is it a bootleg? Would like to get it too

  • this aint rare, but it sure kicks ass

  • this is rrock!

  • hell yeah

  • way down inside ya baby ledz rock

  • aaaay bueyyyy...

  • cheers but this isn't very rare :)

  • yeah, i saw it on vh1 lol

  • Robert Plant's hair is the best! I could play in that shit for days! I love his hair!

  • OMG!!! finally someone understands!! isn't its shiny bounciness remarkable? =D

  • THE BEST EVER ZEPPELIN RULES

  • I just wonder how this piece of solid gold was composed and the lyrics (well there ain't much of lyrics in this song indeed..) were made?

I guess they were under of influence of something...The most famous guitar riff of the world among Smoke on the Water!

  • its from an old blues song like many of zepplins songs..

    still awesome though!!!!!!!

  • this isnt rare at all, its on the dvd, and now on youtube ha

  • plant was right on note with this song...really good performance plant!

  • I love the footage lol really creepy in a good way :D

  • oops my bad i meant the word young instead of yound

  • oo i thought it was from like the 60s or something they look mad yound and the quality of the video

  • amazing.

  • what year is this

  • January 1970 Royal Albert Hall

  • The only way I know how to say it is that in their day, there was NOTHING like them. To see them today in this video gives me chills up my spine! Absolutely the best combination of bass, drums and voice ever in rock. I can remember when I first heard this album when it hit the stores. Nobody could believe it. RIP John. You were the best.

  • I always loved that when Plant doesn't know what to do during the solos, he just grabs a tambourine and plays with it, or he starts moaning.

  • he knows exactly what hes doing...during this solo ehs supposed to be moaning and then during stairway to hevaen hes supposed to be playing tamborine

  • He played tambourine on this. He just always seems uncoordinated with the rest of the band when they're live. Page and Bonham are always spot on with each other, but Plant often forgets lyrics and has to cover for himself.

  • yea ive never noticed that...ill see if i can

  • Page should have did more singing.

  • Still fresh after all these years. Best live band on the planet ever..... disagree? Then why was there more demand for tickets to the gig last year than for any concert in history, even without the late, great Bonzo.

  • Do you know when Led Zep members met Elvis in his hotel room... Elvis insulted them (in the sense he was too bossy) ....

FUCK ELVIS PRESLEY... HE DID NOT EVEN KNOW HOW TO PLAY GUITAR PROPERLY.
