no further meaning than what you can see.

conor has been quoted in the past saying that this cd (the original) is his personal favorite out of all the music he has created. Possibly why he is remastering it before the final Bright Eyes is here and gone. . .

No Monsters of Folk came out about 6 months ago and was a separate collaboration with Jim James, Mogis and M. Ward - it is very good and worth checking out.

This is simply a rerelease of split album with neva dinova, originally recorded in 2001 I believe. They have recorded an extra 4 tracks this time around. The fact he was in the studio under the bright eyes moniker to record these, looks promising that Bright Eyes' (widely reported) final album is in production.

Wow, I've been waiting so long for more Bright Eyes. Sounds a lot more Cassadaga style songs rather than the earlier sounds unfortunatly, but hey brilliant nontheless.

I dont get it when people say that. Conor has grown as a musician and songwriter. Wide Awake, Cassadaga, Conor Oberst, Outer South, and MOF have all illustrated this. Why would he all of a sudden revert to a musical style he hasnt used in almost a decade? I like those albums too, but I just dont get it. But I agree, it is brilliant! The man cant write a bad song.

I'm not saying that he hasn't grown as a musician that is obviously evident. But his earlier lyrics just mean a lot more to me than songs off Cassadega. It's just a personal opinion.

@mdale13 Bah i didn't even realize what was playing in the teaser. I meant that Conor wrote the original tracks between "Lifted" and "Wide Awake"/"Digital Ash", thus the musical style.

Love Bright Eyes and Neva Dinova. Bright Eyes is my fav band and Neva Dinova is in my top 10. Two Gallants is in my top 5. Saddle Creek delivers the goods. If I ever get signed to a label, this is my top pick.

no actually I talked with Mike Mogis after a MOF-concert in copenhagen in november, and he said that the last album won't come out until 2011. Change of plans apparently.

maybe so, but don't you think releasing two new songs then waiting almost 9 months for the cd is a bit long? Especially seeing how Oberst has done 3 albums in 2 1/2 years?
