I pay the $75 dollar a month for unlimited use for the CTA. that is 24 hours available to use all the time. To me that is a great deal. That's gas money alone if i were to own a car.
Yep, it's the Merchandise Mart, designed by Graham, Anderson, Probst & White. They also designed the Wrigley Buildin, the Civic Opera House, and other important Chicago buildings.
As ChicaGoes says, it's still the largest commercial building in the world (having been built in the early 1930's). It's the second largest building in the world; only the Pentagon is bigger.

when I was a kid in the 1940s, I rode the 'el' all over the place...fare was 4 cents so a real bargain :)
