@ajuhfiugzfui I actually didn't trace lines from my ref. I usually use the grid method (splitting the image up into much smaller squares and then drawing them on a black canvas thats also split into equal squares).
I don't usually record the line drawing stage because its pretty boring to watch.
@ajuhfiugzfui yeah the ref image is there to quickly check when painting. I just hit pause and make a quick comparison. By the way; I love the district 9 sketch on your profile. Very cool.
Can you select the area you want to record? because then you can simply open your ref in another window just outside of the area you record ;) that's how I do it when I have photo ref. and thx
GOD FUCKING JESUS CHRIST! these SPEED PAINTINGS ALL ARE DAMN TALENTS NOT THOSE MUSEUM SHIT!... sorry for cursing but seriously! most of you speed painters could make better pictures then real designers/spriters .... OMG!
that music is pretty epic, it pretty much makes this,(combined with the most epic picture of all time) the most epic video in the universe. of all time. ever.
@Church6397 You mean with oils and stuff? Ive done my share in the past. I was never too keen on that though. It takes way to long to make minor changes, and I generally don't keep 90% of the work I do.
I still prefer sketching ideas out onto paper though.
@xpoc Yeah I just meant any art in general though, pencil, charcoal, pastels etc. Just wondering because I figured that you couldn't be so good at digital and not do traditional
I'm not knowledgable about art but I'm always completely fascinated by shading. Even when I'm staring right at it, I still can't completely wrap my head around how the magic of shading works.
@xpoc Hey man, what is the tablet that you got called exactly? Thx man

@GoBIGclan At the time I was using a Wacom bamboo pen and touch. Now I just have the pen version, because I didn't find the touchpad all too useful.
