The fact that Arthur is only 10 years old is probably why the UK deleted any scenes that would have a sexually provoking nature. Thereby also kissing scenes. I do not live in the UK myself luckily, because I think that's a silly thing to do. I'm guessing it would have been different if the actual actor that was playing Arthur had to do anything. But lets face is... These characters are animated and not actual children. To delete these scenes is immoral.

I was going to comment that I saw that scene in the movie. When you compare what American censors allow to what they cut out. They use a whole lot of double standards.

The scenes were cut only in the US edition (region 1). These scenes come from the mexican DVD edition (region 4).

I you want the full english version, you need to get any of the DVD releases by Europacorp.

For some reason i do not understand, they tried to erase all the love story. None of this scenes are inapropiated, but together they tell us a story.. that was considered inapropiated by the US language distribuitor... It seems they did a test with public... but it think they used the wrong public...

Haha wrong public for sure! They basically took out the whole flavor out of the story, you know? The only scene I found moderately 'inappropriate' was the butt shaking one, and it's just because they made Princess Selenia to be real curvy haha! Other than that, it's totally ludicrous they deleted the other scenes!! I watched it in spanish (I live in Panama) and it was very very good!

Simply.. Selenia explains that She and arthur are about the same age... they just measur time distinct...

Probably, what was lost from the book, is that Selenia tries to act more mature since she is a princess and she must act acording to the protocol. And of course, in the film she looks older than 10 years... in the books we are reminded that at her age, she still has nothing.. to show. The earlier designs of the character look more younger.
