There's nothing feminist or lesbian about wanting to commit mass violence against an entire category of human beings. There's nothing about either one that calls for failing to see people as individuals, even though we are *all* affected by the flawed attitudes of our society and *all* imperfect. If, as JosLutgens, you think this, saying so is your right, and I accept that you're stating what you truly believe. But don't presume to speak for the rest of us. I do not share your belief.
I'm always glad for intelligent discourse, and I don't feel like everyone has to walk away agreeing, as long as it's enlightening for all. So, go ahead and rebut. Who knows? Maybe I'll rebut your rebuttal! I intended for this to be a conversation starter, rather than the last word, when I made it. And there are things I'd want to clarify, or even revise about it, after the time that's elapsed since, anyway. That's why I've rewritten my comments in the description beside it. Thanks for watching!
Our community isn't monolithic. Some prefer the term dyke, others lesbian. Some hate both and say gay women. Still others like the word queer. Some reject labels altogether. These days, there are lots of new terms in use. Nobody can make everyone like theirs, but none of us can ban a term, either.
I make no apology for who I am. My words reflect that. It's up to you how you feel about my term, but it's still my choice to use it. After 25 years being out and proud, I don't give up that right.

soo true!! I mean, lesbians are so not respected by a lot of people and the society, and I mean, it's cool when straight people try to represent us and fight for our rights, but why doesn't anybody listen when a lesbian is trying to fight for her rights?? God, I hope this changes some day, there are a lot of lesbians who already made big steps and faught for their rights (like Ellen Degeneres and lot more, just used an easy example)!! Thanks for this vid. Great job!
I know how easy it is to become disheartened and angry about prejudice. However, I try to keep in mind that people have a right to their opinions. I'm not the thought police. LOL! I just present alternatives and hope for the best. On the other hand, I do want everybody to be *treated* with respect, regardless of anyone's feelings. Prejudiced attitudes are one thing. Oppressive actions are another. If somebody tries to harm someone, you'll find me fighting back!
im not a lesbian but im very happy for this film. everybody should watch this. my mother hates lesbians, gays, black people, well she's somekind of a nazi. but she hates nazis as well. i'll make her watch this. but im not sure she'll change
Thanks for watching, folks! I'd like to invite you all to check out the Gender/Sexuality playlist I'm gradually building on my channel. It's got some interesting videos by other YouTubers listed. I hope you enjoy them!
