Damn, that was spooky. I operated industrial-sized drill-rigs for a few years ..... huge & HEAVY booms. When drilling several holes close togther, say on geothermal applications, we would never take it down. Just raise the outriggers up about 4", use the lowest gear on the rig, CAREFULLY move forward a dozen or so feet, & pray to God you didn't find a soft spot. If you were too heavy with the brake, you could feel the tires squishing back & forth. Frightning even for an Type A like myself.
when you get them fixed, put em' to work.dont just wheel around in them ever once and a while get it out and put it to work you can spoil a machine like you can a child coddling it by not working it
As sweet as that old bulldog is, I would never load that truck with anything other than a load of sail boat fuel, nor would I subject her to that steep and soft hill of dirt he is trying to climb either !
the old truck is doing what she is meant to do work and look good and well she did both very well. no reason why it can't still work bet made then the truck we get nowadays.
