As a born again Christian I have to say the questions raised about Jesus' life and death were all foretold many years before Jesus was born. About 500 prophecies were fulfilled in him. What a gracious loving God who chose to be born human to "walk a mile in our shoes" and reach us on our level experiencing first hand what we go through in this life good & bad. He did this so if we will call to him and invite him into our lives as our savior he can save us from an eternity in the fires of hell.
Wow, such a very noisy song! It is crazy! My cats yawn when I play this song and then I have to play Beach Boys for them the wake them up.
Too funny! "Did you mean to die like that? Was that a mistake, or Did you know your messy death would be a record breaker? (Don't get me wrong... I only want to know!)" He was God... now answer it for yourselves!
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; (Colossians 1:17-19)
@brancool88 Well first we'll ignor that there is no extra-biblical evidance for the esistance of Christ and assume he was real, if the world is so rotten today (as so many Christians claim) why did he not come today? More over though the teaching of Christ may have been valid why do most Christians ingor his message of love and insead focus on following as many rules as possible and forceing their veiws onto others. And finally... need more letters, will countiue in new post
@brancool88 okay so like I was saying if his death was a requirement then why is Judas so villianized? If this was mean to be it should have been a great honor to help make the prophacies come about and surly he would have reacived some reward (like, oh I don't know heaven perhapes?) rather than being damn for all time.
@Samthescienceman ?Most Christians never realize what? That Jesus was documented walking this earth and he was sacrificed for us and rose above death, or are you referring to the other "prophets" mentioned in this song?
One thing's for sure though........ you'll find those other prophets in their graves!
@notwaiting first of all there is no extra-biblical evidance for the exsistance of Jesus. As for other prophets like Mohammad and Buddha there's more evidence for their exsitance than there is for Jesus. Also we know there were at least 16 other "messiahs" in Judea around the alleged time of Christ but unlike Jesus we actually have evidence for their exsitance!
@notwaiting you're missing the point. First of all we don't even know where the tombs of those prophets are much less Jesus, but more to the point THERE IS NO EXTRA-BIBLICAL EVIDENCE FOR THE EXSITANCE OF JESUS!!!! Basically what you're saying is that beacuse we havn't found a tomb he must of been real, well we haven't found the tombs of those other prophets yet you don't belive their claims.
@Samthescienceman It's called pride and wanting to die in your sin. People can find God if they really want to choose to leave their life of sin. Cant find God is an excuse and cop out because of their own pride.
@BBQFanNo1 clearly you have no clue what atheism is: it's the rejection of belief in any deity or supernatural entity. Atheist are that way because we want to sin but because of the lack of proof for the existence of any god; now there are some things we can agree on in terms of morality, but certain thing you call sin I don't view as so bad. For example if the only person a sin offends is a god who has failed to prove his existence then I fail to see what's so bad about it
@Samthescienceman Check the Roman Catholic religion. They have a direct line back to ST Peter, who walked with Jesus and founded the church, and along with the seven discipled documented it all.
Sorry, Fox News and MSNBC just weren't around those days.
@notwaiting sorry but they come up dry for the evidence as well. In any event Fox and MSN are probably the most biast news sorces but at the opposite ends of the scale. And yes it's quite a catchy tune.
@Samthescienceman There is Richard Dawkins,Stephen Hawkings, and George Carlin. Why do you stubbornly refuse to debate William Lane Craig, Mr Richard Dawkins? Hmm? Answer the question Mr Dawkins!
@Samthescienceman The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good (Psalm 14:1) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. (Romans 1:18-20) Continued....
@Samthescienceman For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse (Romans 1:20) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him (Colossians 1:16)
@BBQFanNo1 the way I gage if an action is moral is "how will this affect not only myself, but those around me?" Secular morality is heads and solders above religious morality because it's constantly gathering new information to help us make the best moral choices; religious morality on the other hand demands the same course of action no matter what the evidence says, and sticking with bronze age morality, as history demonstrates, is a recipe for all sorts of horrible things
@BBQFanNo1 if you think the bible's gonna work think again. First of all evolution by means of natural selection perfectly explains the world around us right off the bat your argument is on shaky grounds. Again we have no proof of god's existence, and we know for a fact the bible was warped and rewritten several times, and based on copies of copies of copies, and is clearly a man-made, not divinely inspired, book that is no more real than The Iliad or The Odyssey
@Samthescienceman That is your choice. Do you think God is going to put a giant cosmic hammer on your head forcing you to choose Jesus Christ as your Savior,Lord, and God while you are alive here on this Planet Earth? The answer you might be surprised is No. Where you spend Eternity is your choice. Who you want to love or hate is your choice. Who you want to be your God/Master/Etc is your choice. Not God or anyone elses.
I'm giving you 6 stars ****** for this one.Thank you for having it,& for sharing it with us.I've been looking for the original version for a while now.I remember when it came out all those years ago.A very powerful song indeed.

By the way, does anyone know why it says at 0:50 - "Israel in 4 BC had no mass communication" - why 4 BC?
