Awesome man Awesome!!!! That really gave me goosebumps. I've loved this song since it first came out when I was a sophomore in hs.....Phenomanal job!!!
Bravo! I cut my teeth on Ventures stuff (I was a drummer then). Probably did Slaughter 500 times, and it still sends a chill down my spine. You nailed it! Thanks Jay.
My Jazzmaster is a 1995-96 MIJ and has an American RI bridge pickup installed. I'm really happy with the tone of this guitar. I cant help but play this music when I pick up this guitar. The pod xt live has been a great pedal for "direct to mixer" recording. i can get just the right amount of drive without it becoming distorted. thanks for the comments.
Man, Fender could use that video to sell a gazillion Jazzmasters. Excellent playing, and that tone is absolutely spot on. I think I need to take another look at those POD things!
thanks, i really loved the early 60s ventures. i'll see what i can come up with in the near future. and as far as an amp....shhhh....i'm using a pod xt live pedal directly into the mixer.
Mr. Jay: You were The Ventures´s guitar teacher. There are no words to say: Your'e amazing.

Another outstanding performance. As good if not better than the original. So, when do we get to hear Walk, Don't Run?

Why this song has a tragic title? Isn't it supposed to be happy music?
hkbaby1985 3 years ago
Because of the Ventures' arrangement.
towbeansoil 3 years ago
The song originally came from a movie the Ventures made their own arrangement from it.
