Finally, we in the UK should all, no matter what our political beliefs, fight hard to protect a system that has served us well. Our legal rights are too precious to be thoughtlessly signed away to the EU by our politicians.

Our system is not perfect, but just as some countries produced better painters or composers than us, we have "a fairer criminal law than our European neighbours."

Disgusting treatment. European law (the Napoleonic system/corpus juris) is the same as that in countries like Mexico - you're guilty until you can prove yourself innocent, you get locked up for months or years before a trial, you can be tried in absentia... In the UK you are innocent until proven guilty, we have habeas corpus (look it up..), you have to be charged within 60 hrs of arrest or else they have to let you go. UK system is FAIRER. @Reklawniks Actually, you can be involved in fraud without being aware of it. You may be working for someone who's involved in fraud (and is doing a good job of hiding the fact). If the fraudster is eventually found out, he may manage to escape justice but the unfortunate person working for him (who may not have been aware of the fraud) can end up taking the rap. In Europe you'd immediately be told you're guilty (whether you were involved or not). In UK you're innocent until proven guilty.

You'll forgive me for being reserved in my comment as I don't know anything about this prior to this video, but assuming that the story was true it is disgusting and disgraceful. I do note that many countries have extradition treaties, and I don't know whether that's radically different to the EU arrest warrant powers, but in either case people should not be extradited, especially on relatively minor charges, without proven guarantees of the way they will be treated.
