@Supdude147 dude c4 is inside them, marines used to take them apart in vietnam, and take out the c4 to cook their food with it because it burns better then the heat tabs they were given, and it didnt smell bad. but the down side is this, since it was a mine, they would go off occasionally, and this being a claymore, there are metal ball bearings in there ( 100s ) of em. so not only did the poor bastard who wanted c4 to cook his food with, the other idiots around him got ripped apart as well.

@DeadChocobo Actually, that label is there because during the vietnam war there were cases in which soldiers would eat a chunk of c4 in order to get intoxicated temporarily (doesn't last for too long) and to be sent back home on a sick leave. So the label was printed to inform about the danger and avoid the widespread use of that trick. ^-^ Hope it helps!

It's explosives. Setting the detonator requires your face to be about 2 ft away from it. If the detonator is defective and goes off prematurely (has happened before) then the setter is a dead man, period. No ifs ands or buts. At that distance either the concussion wave alone would kill you, never mine the fragmenting mind body.

So yeah... people are a little antsy when setting these things.
