as far as mech games go, chromehounds is the most realistic i have ever played.

but there has always been one nagging thing... you see those joints, between parts.

they look like spindly matchsticks and do not seem at all a realistic load bearing part.

@Potatonaught With the lack of servers you might as well state there is no more Chrome Hounds period. Game is near useless and in most opinions pointless if you can't play it online. If it were for PC people could at least set up private servers. Little harder to utilize such with a console game.

You might lend a hope though that Front Mission Evolved is good. I'm hoping for such and already decided I'm going to take a chance on it.

Get use to it, most don't rely on spelling accurately all of the time. The novel writers today will tell you, that's what the spell check and editors are for. this is a glitch hound, basicly you have build it when you are waiting for both teams to start and hit ready and up at the same time so that you are tagged as ready but are in the hanger now you build a crazy double x 28 on chicken walker legs and go to town

Very sad to see it go. However, this earlier posted video well before it's time, Chromehounds goes out with a massive 28 gun sallute. Will I say it's the best game ever made? Probbably not. But one I will always remember and one I wish we could all still play.

Perhaps I might see some of you mechonized piloting souls on Front Mission Evolved? It won't be quite as crazy zippy as Armoured Core, or have the moding of Chrome Hounds. But it may have something to bring.

I remember running this as a strategy in some missions vs players.

The newer model by Aeoss had a Radar mounted in front of the cockpit(the largest NA field one). We would have someone push me to a local slope for cover and higher angle, then equally disperse to the edge of radar as forward scouts and clean. they would spot my shots as the enemies entered my radar range, and clean up gunless enemies while i simply dropped rounds on them from 2000+ range. at that distance the rounds cover a grid.

Games like this are made for hardcore gamers, but unfortunately console games are just filled with idiots who think they are gamers because they play CoD. It's definitely not fair in my opinion that they could just shut down the server like that. I mean beside multiplayer being what the game is 99% about many people payed for the dlc parts and now to just shut down the servers and make that dlc useless is ridiculous to me. It is such an underrated game shutting down the servers was just a dumb decision unless the plan on a chromehounds 2 which i doubt.
