I seriously felt like he was talking to me, and it's something I feel is haunting me. I could go in so many directions in life, and I can see where they take me, and I'm so caught up in trying to pick the right path I don't pick anything, and do nothing with my life. Maybe I should join the Navy??
Oh my gosh man. I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'm going through the same thing man, all I want to do is to make an impact in the world, but there is only so much one person can do. I have decided to join the Navy so that I may experience what it is that I fear most, to understand it and to benefit it. The benefits and the chance to travel the world is quite an opportunity. If I had a choice, I would choose the college route, but that itself opens up many more paths for me to decide on.
He means for people to stay the way they are, to party like no tomorrow while the corporate and political thugs slowly eat away your materialistic and media crazed themes. Everything is going to be alright.
I see it a different way. I see it that he's saying we're lazy and that we easily allow the 'big corporations' to control us. Some examples include "everything is going to be ok, said in a monotone voice..almost hypnotic; i thought entertaining you would keep you going back to work; you will meet your soul mate in a convenient manner, discard everything else that challenges you; trust, questioning choices is too hard". Just a few points, but he's saying we're products of our corp creators.
Also to note that the use of "stop worrying about the future; everything is going to be ok" means that those gullible enough are willing to take someone elses word rather than educate themselves on the issues.
