  • Ninjutsu is a battlefield art not a sport like MMA its way to dangerous and Ninjutsu helped influance judo and jujitsu infact the inventer of one of these arts was a student in a Ninjutsu school that specialised in bone breaking, but now its got a lot of restrictions put in place so they can be used in competion sport and MMA so if you were to use Ninjutsu in the ring it would be pretty much the same at what you already see because you take out all of the nasty stuff used for killing and maiming

  • Very good stuff!

  • los ninpo no tenemos permitido participar en torneos de combate deportivo oficiales porque se nos entrena para comite y matar

    pero si podemos acer mma

  • Ninpo doesn't fit on a MMA ring, but most of the tecniques of ninjutsu are based, or are variants of the traditional jujutsu, so if the bjj are some of the best fighteers in MMA, why shouldn't a ninja? I mean, the ninpo, the ideology and intention of the attacks in ninjutsu, can't be used on MMA, cause the pretend to kill or break the enemy, but the techniques, well used, are the same as other martial arts that are succefull in this sport.

  • people need to understadn that Bujinkan is not a "modern" martial art where there is a lot of focus in tornaments figthing with rules...etc.

it was a way of life and encompasses more than just the taijutsu.

And the martial aspects were designed for the battle field and non convential fighting. i.e. killing from behind in secret, etc.

getting a Bujinkan fighter to fight in a ring as per MMA rules is the same as getting a kick boxer to fight as per the rules os normal boxing. very restrictive.

  • is it possible that a ninja had a chance in a mma fight to win due to the rules ???

i mean ( i know it is a bit narrow minded) i didn't see any good skilled ninjas in figt also when i tried to exam the techniques also the way a punch was thrown

well but when i see hatsumi sensei fighting in the vid i see a godskilled man but the others aren't that good skilled that's why i am asking myself this stupid question !!!!!

  • @robertacho89 everything is possible..... perhaps the reason why you did not see any good skilled Ninja in a fight was because you didn't look well enough perhaps not.... ultimately its not the effectiveness or lack of the art but rather that of the practitioner.....

  • @bufuadmin i agree but not all martial arts are born equal, look at boxing compared to muay thai, obv the latter is far superior as it uses 8 points of contact to boxings 2. i guess the real question is are the techniques of ninjutsu effective in a world where the modern fighters spend 8 hours a day training their punches and kicks rather than there sword fighting skills? your training to catch a one off punch, in muay you train to strike until your oponent is down.

  • @robertacho89 "ninjas" dont fight in MMA because they dont train in MMA. they dont train in MMA because MMA has rules that violate the principles of ninjutsu (eg. nothing is off limits in ninjutsu but you cant hit to the back of the head in MMA). That being said, does that mean that "ninjas" dont have any other means of dealing with adversaries? no of course they do. the training and the purpose is different. Im sure they COULD train for MMA and do well but most dont feel the need to bother.

  • @robertacho89 Bufuadmin is right, and I like your open-mindedness on the subject. Most anti-Bujinkan individuals spout hate and disrespect. In addition to considering bufuadmin's response, look up Steve Jennum on UFC. He's a cop and was trained in Togakure ryu ninjutsu (a school from the Bujinkan), and was quite a good fighter on UFC. You can go to my favorites to see him fight.

  • @robertacho89 It could be that the ninjutsu fighters lack fighting experience. Ninjutsu is, as far as I know, not a martial art where you see lots of tournaments, where mma on the other hand is all about fighting in the ring. Ninjutsu is mostly used as a technique for self defence, where mma is about beating the crap out of your opponent. Therefore, perhaps the experience you get in the ring as a mma fighter gives them a advantage because they are used to the "real deal" with adrenaline pumping

  • @robertacho89 someone once said its not about the art or style but about the person......

  • @electronikita we do randori, which is more controlled sparring. but no, not every technique is utilized. we can use shako ken, chin ken, ryu ken, we don't throw with ura seoi nage or ryote seoi nage, we don't fishhook or pull hair or gouge or use shi ken (biting) or twist testicles or any of that. so in other words, we spar, but sparring only allows about half of your repetoire.

  • @electronikita The irony is that Ninja probably trained with a very similar intensity and style to the way most MMA fighters train. I.e. With honest and hard dedication. Which is found so thin on the ground with alot of martial art groups these days.

  • @electronikita...I asked that question my Sensei has told me when you use sparring it actually breaks down ones confidence becasue you are not learning a pattern which eventually becomes second nature as an immediate reaction in a particular situation, which once learned correctly, will enable you to take your opponent down without thinking, we do practise full contact but each pattern is broken down and practised over &over until it becomes a natural way. Sparring is random and not structured

  • Looks like you guys train with some good movement.

  • Dam good vid

  • after seeing the hanbo i definetly knew it was ninpo lol

  • ¡¡ninpo ikkan!!

  • I love the drumming.

  • finally some good movements

  • ninjas rock!

  • go ninja go ninja go!

  • wow guys.... very nice!

  • ninjutsu don't work in MMA ;D

  • only for people who don' know how to use it ;)

  • wow...exactly. People don't understand that movement is movement. It's hard to explain this to most MMA practitioners who are narrow minded or just plain thugs. One of them claimed he WAS 6th dan in Taijutsu and he had no clue how to use kihon happo in the ring. I tried pointing out a few basic principles but I think I was over his head. These principles are pretty much universal. But in his defence, there are many bad vids out there that misrepresent Ninpo.Thank you for the dynamic demos.

  • @bufuadmin DEFINITELY about to favorite this one...........

  • @bufuadmin Well i guess there's many that don't know how to use it then ;)

  • @bufuadmin Well i guess there's many that don't know how to use it then ;)

  • @bufuadmin True, but still, it could not be used in full potencial

  • Ninjutsu is a martial art, not a sport.

  • @bufuadmin uh yeah. see, for ninjutsu to be effective in MMA, one would have to train extensively, or have years or even a lifetime of training to make it consistent. Second, MMA simply does not allow for that kind of equipment, weaponry and clothing, making it rather useless. An athletic man who trained hard in MMA for less than a year would be able to take out any practitioner who lives in a comfortable 1st world country devoid of conflict of this archaic nature and has practiced several.

  • @bufuadmin :)

  • ever seen a juji-gatame used in MMA? it was being used in japanese jujutsu and ninjutsu 500 years before judo or BJJ existed

  • ninjutsu is a MMA (jujutsu, dakentaijutsu and weapons combat)

  • ninjitsu is basically illegal in mma. it's not for sport.

  • every thing works in mma... depends on the person... besides ninjustsu its a killing art not a sport

  • @Dmasterman: There might be some truth to that, but Ninpo and Ninjutsu primary purpose is not for MMA competition. Most Bujinkan schools do not incorporate a lot of sparring as do other systems such as Judo, Jiu Jitsu, boxing, Muay Thai, etc. BJJ teaches armbars, but more importantly, how to set up armbars quickly, efficiently and smoothly. Much of the self defense from systems such as Ninjutsu are geared towards typical people on the street, not MMA fighters, who you probably wont encounter.

  • @Dmasterman the fact isn't tha it doesn't work itself. The fact is: ninjutsu is forbidden in competitions.

  • @Dmasterman Because more than half of the techniques are in violation of the rules. And the rules are a violation to reality. In reality you should cheat, in mma u follow rules and FAIL.

  • @Dmasterman Half of all ninjutsu is illegal in mma. In reality MMA will fall to a real martial art

  • @TenteixSaigo this is so true, In mma ninjutsu practitioners cannot use nerve attacks or throat shots, mma is for show ninjutsu is for much more than just a fight, it is a life skill.

  • @Dmasterman You silly as hell!!! My primary art is ninjutsu and Ima world champion!!!!!!

  • That is because MMA is regulated by rules, that practitioners of ninjutsu are not bound to. Ninjutsu aspires to use whatever works, to survive, without the interfence by rules or the much twisted concept of "honor.. MMA aspires to a level of sport excellence and achievement, displayed by a metal belt. There is nothing wrong with this, if that is your chosen goal, but it is not predicated on the, need for survival, whereas ninjutsu, thrived under life and death pressure

  • @Dmasterman MMA don't work in ninjutsu

  • @Dmasterman Yeah. I agree. Ninjutsu works in the real world. Where they use knives and guns. MMA is an amazing sport and I love to watch it but it is not an art of combat.

  • @Dmasterman and MMA don't work in Ninjutsu, so what is your point?

  • @Dmasterman

    ninjutsu is to kill

    MMA is a sport

  • @Dmasterman haha check out the first 4 UFC's. winner of 2 and 3 was a ninjutsu guy

  • @Dmasterman

only MMA work in MMA so what are u trying to say?

  • @Dmasterman

MMA is for a long time not real fighting. when it started people got knocked out too soon to make it a show buizness. so they put rules in to it so fights last longer and look more convincing. practicing mixed martial arts is very good, but fighting in the arena today is not so realistic for my oppinion.

  • love the coup de grace at 2:27

  • very nice kamae.never seen an dojo use authentic weaponry.nice.

  • Nice stuff! :)

  • This is great stuff. Thank you for sharing. Much respect!

  • Very good!

    Muito bom!

  • Very Good, it is important that people see real Ninpo on the web. so many people who are unqualified are putting out video's so that the layman doesnt know the "real" thing from the beginner. Gambette

  • Hi, thank you for your nice comments. Yes its Bujinkan Dojo guided by Shihan Eduard Divantman.

  • Ah, I see. My apologies then.

  • Why is this advertised in any way as having anything to do with MMA? Seems like a scam to snag views to me.

  • Because it was part of the MMA event

  • Actually ninjutsu is a part of ninpo, Ninjutsu is the corporal part, the keiko.. Ninpo, involve the philosophy, moral, the deeper part..

this demo is very good, you can see, that they have a koryu soul, which they learn in genbukan, you will almost anyone in the bujinkan with this koryu spirit.. you can see that the bujinkan is more modern, training firearms, and if a diferent aproach..

  • You seem to know alot about Ninpo. Do you train in the Genbukan? lol you know too much to not be part of the organization.

  • loooks fun

  • wow

great to see our art so enlighnted to others =]

  • NINPO is the highest order of ninjutsu you can achieve !!!!its finding enlightment.....

  • ninjutsu is a part of ninpo, ninpo is the art of kill in extrictly secret and silence 4 this u can use anything

  • Spelonker "is this ninpo or ninjutsu"?

    i think its mixed :)

  • ninpo is a part of ninjutsu...ninjutsu is composed by: ninpo jujutsu taijutsu

  • i know :p

  • BY jujutsu do you mean genjutsu?

  • No, Jujutsu as in Japan's historic grappling martial art.

  • Well executed, but Bufuikan?

  • Wait, is this Ninpo or Ninjutsu?

  • Ninpo is sometimes used interchangeably with Ninjutsu.

  • the art of the ninja

  • From Daito ryu and maniwan Ryu .... Aikijutsu

  • I wonder if Aikido came from this...

  • Yes it came from Kukishin Ryu

  • aikido came from several diff arts including kukishin ryu jutaijutsu and other types of jutjusu ueshiba studied with the kuki family

  • very inspiring!!!!!!!!!!

  • Another great video! Glad to see awesome Ninpo Taijutsu from a Bujinkan Dojo.
