  • Wait... How can the startup screen display Mode 1 text with more than 4 colors total?

Does it switch palette halfway through the screen or something?

  • i coded the poke out of amstrad action to level select yay me !

btw whats up with the music ?

    your missing notes lol

  • Ha ha Miner Willy got squished.

  • Ps3 out amstrad cpc464 in:)

  • My sister and I played this game over and over and over. Could never get very far. What I mostly remember is we had a version with 'Beam me up Scotty/Snotty' and our good friends didn't have that version.

  • You missed so much mate, I've not played this since the late 80's but I did play it to death back then and I was playing it in my head as you went through. There were a few things you could have done that you walked straight past.

  • this also was an important part of my childhood... call it sad, or not haha

  • @edouardleniqueur Me to thought that it was jet set willy music when i was a kid.

  • I heard a story (but I can't verify if it's true or not) that my friends dad was playing JSW 2 on the Spectrum late into the night and was only 5-6 items away from the end when he fell from the orangery and lost all 7 lives. It was over two months before he bought my friend another ZX after throwing the first one against the wall.

If anyone has ever finished JSW2 without cheats or quicksaves (apart from Matthew Smith) I would be very impressed!

  • Never finished this legit on my 464... most I could get was probably about 70 items before I'd get the fatal multiple death bug. I did finish it on WinAPE with the quick save facility though... even the crap ending couldn't dampen the epic sense of achievment. FINALLY! :D

  • @iris030380 Same here, I never managed to get it completed without using pokes (I think that I got them out of an issue of Amstrad Action).

I remember that there was a screen called "Cheat!" that you could only get to by using the poke that allowed you to walk on water.
