Updating TF2 on PC: Valve adds new files to Steam repository, everything automatically updates. Estimated to take a few minutes.

Updating TF2 on consoles: Valve tailors patch to work on the console's architecture, submits it to MS/Sony, given an extremely low priority, that patch then needs to be checked, thoroughly tested by employees, patch is eventually applied whenever they feel like adding it and they're not too busy. Can take between 8 months and a year.

Probably not going to happen, Xbox 360 only has 512 mb of ram, and you need a 1 gig of ram to play with the higher settings intact and the new weapons. So they would have to lower the quality of the game for it to play. And the reason PS3 has not been released is because valve dislikes making games for the PS3, since they have to recode everything so it works with the Cell processor the ps3 has. That is the reason L4D is not on the PS3.

To clear things up. VALVe sadly abandoned the PS3 version a long time ago (since it was not really one of their own games, but a console port made by EA.) And therefore, they won't be doing any updates for that version either.

If what I've heard is true, I guess the 360 will get the updates when they're all done, but nothing is sure, really ^^'
