  • HA. How rad is this! Hopefully something like this has a part II when Jack releases his solo record in April!!!

  • I mostly think Conan is a twat, as far as a talk show host. He should have become a working musician, he's not too bad. Hard to be a twat when you can rock on a Les Paul.

  • LOVE my Coney!!!! Awesome!

  • omg this is freakin azwewsome

  • U can tell jacjk and conan are good friends

  • nice going, Conan!)

  • this is goin in my favorites

  • Junior Watson on guitar = greatness!!!

  • Hahahahhahahaha

  • ever since he recorded baby brother, I want jack to front a rockabilly band. it would be really cool.

  • @300daysandnights And when he does, I want to play standup bass in that band.

  • yep

  • That boy done sold his soul for rock n' roll !

  • what is this called? What a great musician

  • Jack White must impress comedians. Conan, Colbert, and he was in Walk Hard with John C. Rielly :D

  • Wish Conan can play, jack white = god

  • Ha, Conan wants so bad to be a rocker. He does sing and play well and even tours with his band but he still looks like the nerdy stiff comedian I love, so it's hard to take his "rocking" seriously. Let your hair grow and keep playing Conan. Jack's hot.

  • I had no idea Conan Played the guitar so well! DAMN!!

  • sick!

  • that made me respect conan..even more

    if that was possible

  • Whys this only have a few thousand views Conan is rocking out with jack white on his new shows first day!!

  • sexiest fuckin sound on earth

  • I'm no Jack White fan; in fact, I think he's overrated as hell. But his guitar tone during this appearance on Conan was absolutely phenomenal (not his playing mind you, just his tone).

  • @rodentcafeteria fuck you. jack white is a fuckin god

  • @The13hhour1 There's no need to be fuckin rude just because someone doesn't share your obvious admiration of Jack White. And, as far as guitars gods go, he's waaaaaayy down on the goddamn list. I think even he would admit to that.

  • @rodentcafeteria I think most people would consider him a guitar legend same as Kurt Cobain. The thing is even though they don't play as complex as someone like BucketHead or Steve Vai they still are extremly creative and single handedly created a new genre of music (Kurt grunge and Jack whatever you call the style of the Hives, Strokes and all that kind of bands).

I think sometimes is not about the guitar skills but about the creativity of what you can do with a guitar.

  • @sergejg2 I totally agree with what you say about Kurt Cobain. He wasn't a guitar whiz by any stretch of the imagination, but changed the music landscape with the skills he did have. Jack White, however, just doesn't do it for me, either creatively or his skills as a guitarist. I'm not hatin' on him, I just don't see what the big deal is. Like you said "whatever you call the style ..."

  • @rodentcafeteria i can see what you mean. i'd agree that he's no Cobain, but at the same time he sort of reintroduced and rebranded blues music. if you listen to his stuff, it's very much based on blues progressions, just with a heavier overdrive. if you watch his interviews on "it might get loud", at least i found, you'll get a whole different appreciation for him. that, plus you get to watch jimmy page shred. which is awesome.

  • @rodentcafeteria I am a great Jack White fan. I think Jack is a very creative person and highly skilled for the blues/ garage music he plays. Just look at the variety of music he has created from the white stripes garage/blues to the Raconteurs country and blues to the coca cola advert, Dead weather, playing drums and music with various artists. I mean yes he is know Buckethead or Eddie Van Halen, but that for me makes him an icon.

  • @jonnyBB3B I respect your opinion, but don't get me wrong. I'm not "hating" on Jack White, I just don't (and never did) see what the big deal is. "Highly skilled," "icon"? Come on! He's a good musician, but he has a long way to go before he reaches "icon" status. Just my opinion.

  • @rodentcafeteria I take my 'icon' status remark slightly back, he does need to be about alot more in years to come to be appreciated by many more, but in my eyes the guy is unique. I think it is because he started off with not much as a kid and grew up about with the blues and brought it into music. To me there is just something about him. Now led zeppelin are icons i don't care what anyone says, then again who is going to disagree?

  • @jonnyBB3B Okay, "unique" is a much better description. But, because of all his numerous projects and various bands that he's started or been with, I kinda think of him as a Jack of All Trades - Master of None.

  • @rodentcafeteria Ohhhh i think that is a little harsh to say that. All of his projects and various bands he has been in shows his dedication to music and how creative he can be. Remember, Jimmy Page turned up out of the blue once at a white stripes concert because he was impressed with Jack and they later swapped guitars. "Not only that, Jack, every time that he has a new project, it’s always worth checking out because he won’t disappoint you." Jimmy Page

  • @jonnyBB3B I haven't heard ANY guitarist - young or old, mention Jack White as an influence. And yes, White has played with lots of famous people, Page, Jeff Beck, the Stones, etc. Maybe one day he'll put something out that makes me go "wow, I gotta hear more of that." But so far that hasn't happened. Page and White also did a movie together ((It Mighht Get Loud), so I'm guessing that may have had something to do with his "surprise" visit. Page needs to put out new music himself.

  • @rodentcafeteria I can't change your view of Jack White and can only give my view. Which is fine. What i do agree with is that Jimmy does need to release some more stuff. That would be cool.

  • @jonnyBB3B I respect your view. To each his own. Unfortunately, I think Jimmy lost all inspiration when Robert went solo. At least it seems that way.

  • "I think Jack White is definitely a hero to a young generation of guitarists and an old generation of guitarists,"- Jimmy Page. But everyone has there own opinion. I can't argue with that.

  • @sergejg2 the style is garage rock revival

  • @rodentcafeteria As far as I agree with you on Jack White not being on the top of the list (I do think he's an awesome player, but still) I don't think a lot of people who are deservedly called guitar god would admit to it.

Most artist will just point at their influences and tell you that they can only hope to become as good as them.

  • @eendenmannetje Like Sea Sick Steve, he is influence by the the original blues players and he has used that similar image/style to his advantage. With a slight twist.

  • Jack looks like hell

  • les claypool?!

  • johnny depp

  • @JALUBEE99 ...haha...i thought the exact same thing...lol

  • @Saighu ya haha

  • this is awesome.
