Buddy, im like you, but on a snare drum. It took me a while to learn this warmup, but its really great. Its a great tenor rendering. im gonna send this to my friend who plays tenors cause he really wants to learn how to play this..
dude he's right, you need to open up EVERY diddle you played, stop rushing, bounce your sweeps/scrapes more so you're hitting the 'sweet spot' of the drum, and most of all, LEARN THE MUSIC, youu're not playing the right parts, get the music and learn the actual parts.
it was really good just some parts were a little sloppy but other than that it was pretty good. i wish all the kids in my drumline were as big a band geek as u cuz only a band geek can actually take the time to practice :/ and be this good. keep it up :)
Try playing the exercise on one drum first. You need to work on the rhythms before moving around the drums. Not bad for freshman, keep working on it. Maybe try out your junior/senior year to see how your hands hold up then. We generally don't take people in high school but it does occasionally happen.
it wasn't too bad, especially for a freshman. i didn't even start tenors until i was a sophomore. just always practice with a metronome for a source of time. also, your wrists are turning up. try to keep them a little flatter, so that the top of your wrist is parallel to your playing surface. but still be relaxed. also, there should be no gap between your thumb and index finger on the stick. so always keep that closed!! keep practicing!! (:
Where you playing with a meteronome? It sounded like there was a Dr. in the background.

Nice job. but work on keeping those palms flat and keeping a solid tempo. Not bad for a freshman. :)
