  • Charmayne James and Scamper meets cutting :P

  • yea, that was amazing, it probably would have done just a little better if the headstall wasn't like, tangling around it's legs. great job :)

  • watch his bridle!! but awesome job!!!

  • The horse was doing good! They all make mistakes, it's a part of learning. Practise makes perfect!

  • Hey woe. Using your feet is not a problem, as long as you do it right. Sometimes that horse *NEEDS* to know its time to work and to be correct. and "Mistreating"? come on. Helping your horse by waking them up is not cruel, its just telling them its time to do their job. and, people make mistakes, nobody is perfect. and anyone, trainer, non-pro, or otherwise will tell you so.

  • awesome horse but u need somework

  • Using feet gets you in trouble. The horse is supposed to do it themselves with the rider only along for the ride & to change calves.

  • Very nice! I just started training my horse for cutting, It is SOOO fun :)

  • ive always wanted to get into cutting

  • You all make good points. The horse should be taught to do this on their own with the human along for the ride. I have ridden Leo Whiz, a 9 time supreme all around champ & 10 time supreme cutting & reining champ. This horse was so well trained that all I did was go along for the ride with no bridle for cutting. Just very light tugs on the reins for reining & very light leg & rein pressure for spins. This is what you want in a horse.

  • This sport is cruel

  • You have GOT to be kidding! If it's so unbearable, quit watching and go hug a tree.

  • you are obviously a supporter of animal cruelty

  • There is absolutely nothing cruel about cutting horses. The horses love doing it or the owner won't keep trying to use them for cutting. When the cow gets tired of messing with it, they simply stop and stand there. None of the animals are "terrorized" or injured. Quite to the contrary, it is in the best interest of the people to take excellent care of all the animals, so they do. Your are obviously ignorant (under the true definition) about this entire subject. Now, where is that tree?

  • just so u no i am not ignorant and i read about animals all of the time. they do not take good care of the animals, wot iz natural about sumone doing wot they were doing. and i woz actually bthinkin of subscribing. sooo glad i didnt i am vegitarian and would always put my life at risk 2 save an animal, once again you obviously support animal cruelty i feel srry 4 u not nowing wot iz like to love animals, now, where izthat save the animal petition

  • oh and hug a tree, with pleasure

  • This sport is nowhere near being cruel!!! These animals are very well taken care of. My brothers & I could ride a horse before we could walk. We were also cutting cattle at the stockyards here in Denver by the time we were 7-9 years old. My father & grandfather were very strict on taking care of our animals. So strict in fact that we put the horses & chores before ourselves. Humans have been cutting, roping & doing ranchwork off of horses for centuries. Get a clue before running your mouth!!!

  • no i wont ur ranch iznt th same az all ranches

do u call putting a very high volt electric shock through the poor horse cruel

i see ur point and u r obviously more experienced than me but i can no wot i no

  • Where in the world did you get the thing about electricity? No way did we ever treat our animals like that & I do not know who does. Do you know where we get meat? I do not mean to insult your intelligence, but my father & grandfather were highly competent trainers that NEVER hit a horse or hurt it in any way. If you do that type of action on an animal, they will go sour & never be a good animal. They got the horses to trust us & we trusted them without force. Just a lot of patience & time.

  • im not saying you electified them but other people do

  • @Stugazza I agree with you. These horses are some peoples only means of making money. if the horse is bein mistreated it can't perform properly, thus, can't win you money.

  • Please write in english with no lazy grammar.

  • i will do wot i wont coz itz a freev world izntb it i can do woteverv i wont othher people on utube werirte like thiz so why cant i

  • You're making yourself sound dumb already by making statements about a sport you obviously know nothing about, but you could at least pretend to have SOME intelligence by learning to use spell check.

  • shut up posh person wth a mawth az big az th black hole i wozent tuking2 u i will do wot i wont def ot subscribe 2 u

  • I wasn't sure, is that directed towards me?

  • oh an i do no u dont thow

  • do you forget to proofread your comments before you submit them, or do you just not care that everything you say sounds like a retarded foreigner trying to prove a point about something he's arrogantly assuming he knows so much about. nothing you've said so far has made any sense and as far as trying to win an argument goes, writing your case it your only way of getting a point across so that the other person can understand you. i'm very sorry you're so bad at that.

  • i am a she wolf i always win an arguement an i never bac down im so sorry ur so thck

  • very cool

  • wow!

  • lol its kinda funny how the people that have no idea make stupid remarks first of all to get a horse that does everything itself you have to train it... which requires showing it wat its supposed to do over and over it may be all the horse in a rodeo but for years and years its the cowboy and usually if hes had the horse its whole life and trained it himself you no hes a good cowboy and also he uses his legs thats y he has no reins my friend has a horse like that

  • It's the horse that does everything you just have to urge him on... :)

  • he has reins around the horses neck so it does know were and when to move.

  • My moms cuzz has cutting horses, & his horses do all the work once they find the right cow, no... once they SMELL a cow

  • cutting horses move off of your legs not the reins

  • Makes sense, after you select your cow you drop you hand down in cutting anyways, each time you lift your reins you lose points.

I would have liked to see the part when he first went in and moved the herd out and selected his cow without the use of his reins.

  • Very nice! you dont need a bridle for this wonderful sport! if you have a well trained horse! whitch is what this man has!!

  • Because the horse does everything. Assuming you have a horse thats trained for the sport all he has to do is sit there -_-

  • you dont need a bridle to jump either.

you just need a well trained horse that will follow your leg cues.

  • yea? and your point is?

  • a good rider and a good horse are not breed or discipline specific.

No one just sits there, I am guessing he is helping his horse with his leg.

  • yeah, you don't depend on ur hands to ride. ur seats the most important thing. if you don't have it? lets just say u'll be iding on the ground. lol

  • pretty!
