    You are wrong more than me:

    1) Magazine = 5rounds = this is correct in mod.

    2) Weight = cca 20kg = weapon's mass is not an input parameter in CoD games

    3) Ammo loadout = 20rounds (+ 5 in the weapon) = this is included in the mod now, but it obviously wasn't included when I recorded the video.

    4) Animation = this is the only thing you are correct, PTRS-41 was reloaded with en-bloc clip from the bottom of weapon. Animation is wrong because I didn't know how to make it.

    I haven't said anything about magazine capacity. And not even about the loadout.

    Just try go around holding that rifle in your arms (i did, and I wasn't running) and shooting on the move...They should do something about mass parameter in games like that. But that's not your fault.

    It's bad to see an anti-tank rifle used as an anti-personnel one, carried around and shot like an infantry rifle on steroids.

    How could you shot a PTRS? Firstly it is a historical piece of large value because not much of them survived to our days. Secondly, 14,5x114mm cartridge is not publicly available ammunition. Most countries in world restrict rounds larger than .50BMG (12,7x99mm) for civilian market.

    Btw, I shot quite a lot of weapons too. I know what is/is not possible. I would have made the PTRS firing from prone position only - but the cod2 engine does not allow that.

    recoil is made through animation. But at the time of creating this, I did not know how to make animations.

  • Isn't the PTRS-41 suppose to be bolt-action like the real one? Also, the PTRS-41 loads round by round as the rounds are too heavy to carry.

    nope, the real ptrs is a semi automatic anti tank rifle, it uses 14,5x114 mm ammo, the reloading is done from the bottom using the stripper clip (by opening the mag port from bottom, inserting the stripper clip and closing the mag port).

    I made the reloading animation different for the game because in cod2 there is no other animation that can fit it. And I do not have the ability to make custom animations :-(

    overkill? yes it is a bit, but there is (as I know) no way to make the weapon fire from prone only.

  • @MCh2207Cz hey im from CoDfiles too, you probably dont know me though, i was person-asc or something by that means, i forgot my user name (the pecifics) and now i cant log in, i have downloaded most of your files and love em, but when did you release the AVT-40 and the thompson and M1A1 pack,I was reading the readme for the PTRS and it mentioned them

  • @MCh2207Cz i was playin SP with your PTRS on the first stalingrad mission, i was using WCP mod with it and when the Panzer showed up the objectives told me destroy it w/stickybombs but instead i shot it with the PTRS and the objective wouldnt go past the stickybombs, but since it was blown up I couldnt place them

    well it wasn't made to be used with WCP, when I tested it on plain CoD2 (with other my mods that are listed in readme) it was OK. The objective was completed normally without bugs.

  • This is cool, man! Which ingame weapon will you replace? Will it have scope on the rifle? (BTW, sor for asking, isn't PTRS an anti-tank rifle?) ;)
