Just ask your DVR supplier. He knows what to do and probably your router too. At least Dekape.nl does! This service is for free! By the way: an AV-Tech DVR just requires 1 port to be forwarded for your complete dvr utilities...

@nostalu Hi, you have 2 PC's connected to your modem, so yes you will need to do port forwarding but will only work if your modem supports it.

it probably depends on your ISP, and beyond that they are probably restricting your upload speed, especially if you upload torrents or illegal stuff. Most upload speeds will be about 1/10 of your download speed. you should be able to contact your ISP and request for them to raise your upload speed. tell them it's ok if they lower your download speed to do it.

rooter man (huh) say's that I changed my IP address for the router. The default / factory setting is 192.168.1.1, username is admin, password should be admin or leave it blank. If that does not work, click and hold in the reset button on the rear of the router for 30 seconds or so untill all the lights on the front start winking at you, then try again. If this does not work, check your manual, if that still does not solve problem, time to get a new router.
