I get this strange idea that since after Touhou 1, it is as though ZUN has been creating loosely connected events to introduce several well characterized characters per game and then finish the series (he denies this, but denial then reveal is the best part) that uses if not all many of the characters in previous games in a finale so shattering that story telling via video games would surpass even 11. I can imagine Sariel applying a power that nullifies the abilities of all other Youkai.
I would find it pretty awesome if Mu-12 from BlazBlue was intentionally a shout out to Sariel.. It would make perfect sense. But that would be just as likely as saying Flandre was inspired by Marx's Soul in Kirby Superstar Ultra.
Hm iv'e always thought as to why sariel is in touhou.
My guess is that seeing as Gensokyo was sealed off from the outside world It could have been considered an act against god.
So Sariel was sent in to pwn some Touhou. (although she got pwnt.)
Then again why would an angel of death lose to a shrine maiden? my guess is that the icon on her chest in the game was not a icon but a tear in her clothing that showed her beating heart I mean that was where her weakpoint was so i guess that makes sense.
@VampiricBushkid my thought is that she is was fallen and she was just walking around the world looking for a nice fight or something to do, and that she was only playing around with Reimu
@VampiricBushkid Well, it's stated in the game that Reimu has TONS of natural power simply by being a member of the Hakurei clan, though I imagine even for them Reimu is quite the powerhouse. That, and she had the Hakurei Yin Yang Orb, which is the only way Reimu could damage ANY enemy from that game. If she had gone without it like in the following games, she would have gotten killed for sure.

Ha, I wouldn't say she's near that hard, but she can be a challenge at times.
Great remix. PC-98 needs more cool stuff like this.
