Iv never been to a drag strip before to run any of my cars. I have been to them to watch races and watch the NHRA cars. But, I can honestly say with no track experience but i get the concept of drag racing I would be nervous too and do something stupid. the new 5.0 Mustang will have the performance level as the 427R Mustang. sadly, itll also have the same capabilities. the 427R produced a pathetic 13.0 1/4mile @ 107mph. 0-60 is 4.9sec. so i wouldnt expect much from the new 5.0
