Thanks Alan. That's a good point about the wood hoops diminishing the high end. My set came with metal hoops, then I switched to the wood hoops to "tone down" the high end! I did like that "woody" quality though, and I still have my Ayotte snare. Your Ayotte set is really sweet, I wouldn't mind taking it for a test drive! Are those Peace octo's?
Nice Kit Joe, I Play Ayotte, but went for smaller sizes 8, 10, 13, 15, with a 22 x 18 kick. I didn't go for the wood hoops just regular ones . Wood hoops are nice but they kind of kill the high end in the drums I think.
