What's wrong with them trying to make money doing what they love? A lot of the times, bands who tour way to much and put way to much effort get sick of it because at the end of the day, they go home to a small little run down apartment. So if Minus the Bear can get a chance to show a larger audience they're incredible talent and make some money so they're happy, then they should go for it.
