@TenPoundHammer It's not about what makes sense, it's about what looks aesthetically pleasing. We're conditioned by years of platform video games to accept floating chunks of earth, but a Muncher floating in the air looks weird and sloppy.

the second level is possibly the best hacked level i've ever seen. It actually felt like a donkey kong level, down to the placement of flying koopas and coins, replacing vultures and bananas.

Heh, it's funny how one of the tidbits of advice (namely, not to put dragon coins on screen boundaries) was something raocow neglected to do in WTH 2 (watch GVirusG to see it).

I think, though, that this hack (as well as any follow-ups) is a great tool for any aspiring romhacker. Maybe the next one could be "Hacks 201 - What not to do".

@Raocow thanks for playing my hack :D also, Yoshi can get up that hill, that's why the slope has that gap, and the springboard is to get a dragon coin a bit later, you walked under the area it's used.
