Great video Jesse, very detailed review and def want to get one of these now, but going to wait as surely they must be refreshing this model soon with the newer Sandy bridge i5's as also the prices around the web seemed to have dropped quite a bit on this model now.
@Ladislavezr There's not much noise. The system stays fairly cool too. Of course there's not much "heavy" stuff going on. When you do push the system and place your hand on the vent you can feel the heat coming out.
@JesseBAndersen X201 just seems to have a better build quality. I dont trust that hinge, and battery for the pen? Love my keyboard too. I know that the lifebook is smaller LXW but thinkpad is thinner. I think in terms of volume, the power supply might be the same, lifebook's just seems long. Anyway, ignore me, i have owned 3 thinkpads, im biased to that brand. I have never touched a lifebook, im sure its great, i just love my thinkpad x201. lol
@malehousecat You got some good points. After testing several ThinkPads myself I can say that the construction quality feels more solid. The T580 is very "plastic" like.
@kmisterios There are pros and cons to each. Overall I think the X220T is a better system. Tech Spec wise the X220T is way better, and yes you would get more for your dollars. What makes the T580 is unique is the small form factor which is convenient to take around.
I just watched this to find out how to turn it on XD

@graz27 Well let's hope we see new versions. I like small portable and powerful systems. :)

@JesseBAndersen im curious to know why u want to use this system for ur dream tablet project, instead of the x220 tablet.

@kmisterios Pixel Qi doesn't make a 12.5 inch screen. They do 10 and 7 inch sizes.
