Also... a Race Company modified Supra vs a Busa with some Carbon Fiber? Come on now... can we fix a race more? Take away weight, but do not offset that with extended swingarm? I give the rider credit for not looping the bike. Lastly... Supra costs, what? At least 4x what the Busa costs? I will choose a bike everytime.

I get dedicated parking at quite a few places including free parking at all local events. lastly, I can maneuver through traffic easier and do the occasional wheelie for fun should I choose. If it rains or I have passengers, I take the car. How is that for practicality?
@A000699 With the insurance you need to pay for a bike and the carbon fiber kit your bike cost ALOT more than 10K. Beside i can ride in a supra when it rain and i can sit my mom in my supra before going at walmart.

Of course high HP cars are going to out run bikes. HP always wins no matter what on top end. Now. Build a Supra that is completely street legal and raced in street tune ( not with high octane gas and the bost maxed out like most do) that can out run a Busa in the 1/4 mile then that will be impressive!
I'm pretty sure the car vs. bike battle was put to rest in the November 2009 issue of Super Streetbike. The stock ZX-14 owned everything, but they said the Viper would have caught the ZX shortly after 120 mph. If you haven't read that article, its a STOCK ZX-14 vs. a bunch of cars while doing a 60-120 roll. The fastest car being a Viper with 950hp and the bike still wins. Car lovers can talk all the shit they want, but in the end a STOCK Busa/14 will smoke 99% of cars on the road.
The guy on the BUSA was a little slow on the shift. If he had been faster he would have stayed half a car length ahead the whole time probably.

Avoid the clutch bull. Buy an electric shift for it. The Suzuki shop by my house has them for 500 bucks works like an automatic except you tell it when to shift by pressing the up or down aero next to your left thumb so much easyer

Probably a stock busa against a £150,000 worth of tuned supra. SPEND 10K on the busa and watch it leave the supra standing. Also lets see what happens at 150mph plus when the drag starts pulling the supra back and the bike cuts through the air. Nice supra though

This footage was part of the "kings of the street" dvd they raced the supra up against a small turbo'd busa and the busa beat the supra.. remember this Supra is geared for 160 and ran an 8.9 second 1/4 mile before they raced.

supra let off cos it's tuned for drag racing, you can hear it reach max revs at the end, it reached top speed. If it had a 6 speed it would only have pulled away and left the bike as cars accelerate easier from 160+ then bikes of the same 100 - 160 times.

It was a good race. Many people dont realize that the car let off the gas because he ran out of gear. Also many people do not realize that the supra has a 3 speed truck transmission to handle the power and that I am foot shifting. NO human can outshift THAT car. I gave it everything I had and so did he, and it was a clean, perfect, fair race. In my opinion it was a tie.
Also keep in mind that my bike was not made for strait lining, but rather running twisties.
It's a 1397cc kit, rounded off to 1400cc, but the bike sounded like it wasn't spraying, and if I'm not mistaken it's a 84mm big bore kit for the #13 buses...(+3mm bore) no-one makes (+/-.1 mm) piston kits...they keep it nice and simple with mm or inch measurements. But the supra is unreal fast...
in reference to the ft-86 coming out, if you read the specs on it, it is honestly just a show car, you would have to mod the engine more than alot to make it a good drift car, even more so to make it a good road or drag racer, supposed to be only somewhere around 200hp stock

My latest video is low boost vs modded cbr 1000 from a dig. My only track video is on stock wheels and low boost, running 10.4 at 142 mph. 117 mph in 1/8 mile, was on rev limiter since the stock wheels have only 25.7 inch tires.
@Oneslowstang 10.4 is kinda fast but I'll take my bike over a car any day. 10.4 off the showroom floor and still fast in the corners or 10.4 after spending a ton of money on the motor and too heavy to be fast in the corners...yeah I'll take the bike.
I can buy a bike for 4k and do a few mods to run with my car, I buy a bike every year, since it's more practical for long cruises. However it doesn't really compare to having a fast car, I can drive it anywhere in comfort. I used to swap between my Z06, Turbo Camaro, Turbo Mustang and 02 Hayabusa.

That supra wouldnt touch my stockish busa from a dead stop till well past 100MPH....probably closer to 150-160. Those cars make no power in first gear and if they do spool the turbo it blows the tires off. I know they discontinued the supra due to poor sales, but that didn't stop them from being extremely popular. It took a while for tuners and enthusiasts to realize the potential of the Supra and how much torque its motor can produce. Through intensive research and testing, the 2jz is basically in its own league. Dont get me wrong, the rb26 is a tough motor, but due to oil problems it prevents it from producing as much power as a 2jz in stock form
guys as much as i love the supra, you gotta think man, owning a supra wouldnt be as fun if everone had one because they brought it back into production.
@gts5001 IMO the next supra shoulden't be some stupid expensive GT-R. It should be an inline 6 TT(for the highest trim, besides maybe a 3000gt tune) on the price level of a super charged stang. Make a nice restricted bulletproof package that with a few minor changes will push the 1000hp. Leave plenty of room for stroking and stuff but don't make it as inaccessable as the gay R35
@gts5001 To build a bullteproof 6 TT that with "minor changes" will break 1000hp will cost so much in R&D with todays emmission laws that it will not end up being on the same price level as a S/C mustang unfortunately bro ... It's nice to wish though. And the R35 is no longer inaccessible any more. Tuning houses like Switzer, AMS, HKS have all brought out packages that can easily breach it. The R35 is a MONSTER of a car.

supra let off cos it's tuned for drag racing, you can hear it reach max revs at the end, it reached top speed. If it had a 6 speed it would only have pulled away and left the bike as cars accelerate easier from 160+ then bikes of the same 100 - 160 times.

I am the pilot of the BUSA.
It was a good race. Many people dont realize that the car let off the gas because he ran out of gear. Also many people do not realize that the supra has a 3 speed truck transmission to handle the power and that I am foot shifting. NO human can outshift THAT car. I gave it everything I had and so did he, and it was a clean, perfect, fair race. In my opinion it was a tie.
Also keep in mind that my bike was not made for strait lining, but rather running twisties.

It's a 1397cc kit, rounded off to 1400cc, but the bike sounded like it wasn't spraying, and if I'm not mistaken it's a 84mm big bore kit for the #13 buses...(+3mm bore) no-one makes (+/-.1 mm) piston kits...they keep it nice and simple with mm or inch measurements. But the supra is unreal fast...

in reference to the ft-86 coming out, if you read the specs on it, it is honestly just a show car, you would have to mod the engine more than alot to make it a good drift car, even more so to make it a good road or drag racer, supposed to be only somewhere around 200hp stock

What I'm saying is the Busa had the car from the start, it's just a shame that he did wheel stand because the Supra would have been left behind a bit more than it was.

Through all the races i've watched the only reason that race goes from 60mph and then, is that not even one car stand a chance beating almost any 1000cc bike in a real 0-400 drag race... A real bike rider can spin that shit in order to keep the front of the bike down to the ground for the first 0-60mph easily... Visit greece to learn how to drag race with a bike

The cool part is my car beating stretched liter bikes 0 - 60 with them launching at 10k rpms and dead hooking. I'd like to see more riders learning to launch, but the avg rider you will see is afraid to learn launching.

My latest video is low boost vs modded cbr 1000 from a dig. My only track video is on stock wheels and low boost, running 10.4 at 142 mph. 117 mph in 1/8 mile, was on rev limiter since the stock wheels have only 25.7 inch tires.

I can buy a bike for 4k and do a few mods to run with my car, I buy a bike every year, since it's more practical for long cruises. However it doesn't really compare to having a fast car, I can drive it anywhere in comfort. I used to swap between my Z06, Turbo Camaro, Turbo Mustang and 02 Hayabusa.

@Oneslowstang The bike would DESTROY that supra from a dead stop...its to the cars advantage. That supra wouldnt touch my stockish busa from a dead stop till well past 100MPH....probably closer to 150-160. Those cars make no power in first gear and if they do spool the turbo it blows the tires off. Bikes hook 10X better on the street....I own a busa, a 640RWHP mustang GT and a 518RWHP svt cobra on drag radials. Not even close.

You are correct, a busa is 1299cc aka gsxr1300 but...I think they meant that the motor was stroked out to a 1400cc, When i had my busa, i stroked it out to a 1400 (1399cc) with NOS and an air shifter, power commander etc...

@Maksimka8 It's got a big bore kit, cylinders bored from stock 81 mm to 83.1 mm to bring displacement from 1299 to 1400cc. Did you watch the beginning of the video? It was written cleary in the beginning of the video that it was bored to 1400 cc and has nitrous oxide kit.

@amdz64 How could you call a supra slow.. especially when comparing it to a joke of a truck.. 4th gen supra years mixed with comparable years the f-150 didn't even come close to seeing it's tail lights in a drag race.. Not to mention that little twin turbo 3.0 straight six had more horsepower than all of the f-150s and more torque than half of them.. So much for 'truck' pulling power? But then again it is a powerjoke

I know they discontinued the supra due to poor sales, but that didn't stop them from being extremely popular. It took a while for tuners and enthusiasts to realize the potential of the Supra and how much torque its motor can produce. Through intensive research and testing, the 2jz is basically in its own league. Dont get me wrong, the rb26 is a tough motor, but due to oil problems it prevents it from producing as much power as a 2jz in stock form

@gts5001 IMO the next supra shoulden't be some stupid expensive GT-R. It should be an inline 6 TT(for the highest trim, besides maybe a 3000gt tune) on the price level of a super charged stang. Make a nice restricted bulletproof package that with a few minor changes will push the 1000hp. Leave plenty of room for stroking and stuff but don't make it as inaccessable as the gay R35

@gts5001 To build a bullteproof 6 TT that with "minor changes" will break 1000hp will cost so much in R&D with todays emmission laws that it will not end up being on the same price level as a S/C mustang unfortunately bro ... It's nice to wish though. And the R35 is no longer inaccessible any more. Tuning houses like Switzer, AMS, HKS have all brought out packages that can easily breach it. The R35 is a MONSTER of a car.
