@xxTheReal118xx CO2 in general will always work better on a canister filter because it's a closed system. With pressurized CO2, you're spending a lot of money to get that gas dissolved into the water, and all the surface agitation of a sump will just release that gas right back into the air, where your plants can't use it. Hook it up on the drain side of a canister and you're golden.
