ok, i understand your point, but you can't overlook the fact that we are a small countrty with 10 milion while Brazil have almost 190 milion!!!, therefore have much more players, and a bigger probability to form world class players.

Therefore sporting have a bigger merit than the brazilian clubs because they have less "raw material".

we have every right to be compared to Brazil even if we don't have the silverware to back it up but then again we don't have 200 million people. for such a small country we have always produced excellent players. the current wave of young players show no fear and it's really encouraging to see that because with the skill they have i can see portugal winning a major trophy in the next few years.

I agree with you K1rac,why can't we compare with the brazilians. In the last 20 years we have produced the best players in the world, such as Figo,Rui Costa,Simão,Ronaldo, Quaresma,Fernando Couto,Vitor Baia,Paulo sousa (two times european champion).

The only reason that we didn't won the euro and the world cup is because we have't a world class foward like Henry or Drogba

Freezing temperature and it was the best move Sporting Lisbon made all game and Nani took it brilliantly first touch was excellent because the conditions favoured the heavy touch on the Astro turf pitch, ball was hardly moving smoothly in that match. lol
