can you explain something to me, how do you translate a word from the Cyrillic Greek Alphabet to the Roman Alphabet? I don't really understand how? is it done via the sound like we do with Chinese, Persian etc or is it differectly related to the Roman Alphabet? thx

well..the majority of greek people write greek words with roman alphabet

this is not taught anywhere,its the common "greeklish"(from greek and english) and many teachers believe that greek students make mistakes by adopting this kind of writing to their computers

of course,people write also with greek alphabet at their computers,but greek alphabet is difficult and has many mannerisms,so we prefer english characters that dont bound as and help as write faster

thanks tinky, that helped me a lot, i am curious about language and how we all communicate. As someone who knows little about the Greek Language it find it fascinating to see the differences and similarities between the roman and cyrillic alphabets. For someone like me the russian and greek looks similar but obviously they are not! If must be very difficult for a foreigner to learn Greek i imagine. It is interesting that the people have developed this style for themsevles, i guess speed is king!

i think that is why english developed so fast because it absorbed many words from all the ancient languages so we can all have some connection to it, well most europeans can feel something of their language in english, french, latin, greek

well..very few languages are not based to the roman alphabet,and as far as I know they dont applicate their language to roman characters,but write with their national characters

its so difficult to learn greek,im 17 years old and still I learn so many things,from grammar to expression and correct spelling..unfortunately we have to learn many other languages and this is time-consuming,even if it's easy..

The album is Starsailor's upcoming release "All The Plans". It is not on iTunes yet. The single comes out on March 2nd but I'm not sure if it will involve Brandon or not - the official music video is the version without Brandon involved. I really hope they release the Brandon one though!
