be aware of your surroundings. Fear is the most efficient weapon there is, this is why terrorist do what they do to cause fear. Everything you said about knowing your surroundings is right on. Knowledge overcomes fear!
@TheTNPINC indeed it does. The key is to use the fear to survive and not to be overcome by it. Training and physical fitness are two of the most important aspects of avoiding vapor lock when the pucker factor hits 15 and is climbing... Mental conditioning and "seeing" yourself victorious as you game play scenarios mentally is also important because the body does not differentiate between that which is vividly imagined and that which is actually experienced... Heart rate goes up, pupils dilate..
@Hiberniason those who keep their mind focused in a crisis will be the survivor, that's why people who panic drown, My mother was a psychopath, but one thing she taught me sticks to this day. DO NOT PANIC
I guess people view this kind of things in different ways. I tend to believe that when I sense something wrong, it's God telling me that I need to be aware and alert.
Aye mon, I've been thinking the same thing. I should listen to my instincts. A problem I guess maybe comes from the habits I've built up having stupid debates with people. That problem solving is not real logic. Real logic comes from my gut. I've been told "I know you think it feels wrong" well if it does, then fuck it, that's going to be my reference point! There are no rules in life actually, otherwise there would be no violence!
@tiecuando cops and investigators talk about their 'gut feeling' and it's the same premise. They are picking up on clues from experiences and memories of past events lingering in their subconscious which are similar to their current situation. Gut feelings don't close cases but they certainly help with focusing critical thinking processes.
