I think this is about people who dump their problems are strangers.

The waitress is trying to illicit pity from the singer, explaining her issues with her abusive boyfriend. She gets it, but the singer's pity is a bit sarcastic. She's a catastrophe girlfriend because she is still apparently with this guy. She could take a day off from work to solve her problems, especially since she isn't inclined to refill his coffee.
