  • so the master frame does NOT come from the factory with a cut for ramped barrels? That means I could use my current STI Spartan Slide and Barrel (regular non-ramped barrel) and fit it to the frame if that is the case... Yes a regular 1911 slide would look funky in a full dust cover frame but mehh...fancy doesn't win matches (not to say that I win matches anyway...)

  • what would the bennefit be to having you find my parts and using your gunsmith to build the gun compared to me finding my own parts and then finding my own gunsmith fo rthe build ??

  • @jacobcharlesm I have sold 123 custom 1911 in last 4 years- that's around 30 a year at an average price of

4000.00 dollars per gun..I can get a 1911 built with my parts for 500 dollars and it will shoot OR I can get a work of art crafited for 1800 dollars and it will shoot through the same holes. Most people i talk to think a build takes a week or two try up to a year with the best gunsmiths. And try to get a damascus slide { a 6 month wait }have fun with your build email me for help

  • so you guys buy all the parts and have a gunsmith put it together ??

  • @jacobcharlesm There is a lot more to it then just that, trying to pick an choose the right parts to match the customer over all design of his or her dream gun. Ordering in custom parts knowing where to get then and who can make them for you. What gunsmith to use to do your builds. I have three gunsmiths on tap now and two metal finishers. One gunsmith just to do the finishing work on the Damacus slides and parts.
