Oh, just in case anyone wonders, no, that's not a sound clip from The Beatles' "A Day in the Life" there towards the beginning. It's actually from the old 1950's radio show, "X Minus One."
As far as I know, that was indeed a real, live human woman. Apparently, the word the chorus in the background is singing is "Seri," which is a Greek resort. I know, that has nothing to do with outer space. Go figure!
I'm a little late chiming in, but this is too cool. I love all the sci-fi memorabilia, both visual and audible.
