I would say I love J.Lo but that's a damn understatement. I like that finally someone put my two favorite artists in the same video and it wasn't about who was better than who. She has said more than once howw much she admires and misses Selena. I plan to see JLo in person when she starts touring again and will buy a back stage pass in hopes of meeting her in person if possible. Yeah I don't understand that either. Selena won Billboard awards, A GRAMMY award, Broke attendance records in all her concerts, had a contract with Coca Cola, had Gold and Platinum selling albums, she was in every major latin american TV show. WHAT MORE DO YOU FREAKING WANT! Selena was already well known before her death. JLO WASN'T! The Selena movie was successful because it carried SELENA'S NAME! Not because JLo portrayed her! The movie was gonna be a hit no matter who portrayed her!

Soy de PR y todo el que esté pegao viene aca, Lamentablemente Selena se escuchó cuando murió. Quizas ella le gana en voz(por supuesto) pero J LO es mas que una cantante y la conocen hasta en la luna y sí, gracias por la excelente actuación de ella como selena empezó formalmente su carrera pero no importa como, Jlo iba a ser famosa!! Los Barrio Boyzz son de Puerto Rico esa cancion que cantaron a duo sono por todo Latino America hasta Selena y los Barrio boyzz fueron de Gira por todo Puerto Rico. Selena salia en todos los programas Latinos antes de murir:Premio Lo Nuestro,Siempre en Domingo, Sabado Gigante, Cristina, Noche de Carnaval, Calle 8, Onda Max ect. Como 2 ó 3 meses antes de morir escuché canciones como bidibidi, Buenos amigos(me encantaba) pero la parte de ella no sabia q era ella, barrio Boyz no lo recuerdo y yo era teenager en ese tiempo osea veia videos como es! Lo qué quizé decir es que en PR no estaba bien pega y cuando murió lo sentí por su edad incluso fuí a ver su película al cine! Anyone who is a director, a writer, or a movie producer would be offended by your comment. JLO DID NOT MAKE THE SELENA MOVIE! Gregory Nava and Selena's family made it possible. The movie was a success because it carried Selena's name on it not because JLo was in the movie. Any actress could have played Selena and it would have still been a hit! JLo did a good job though

Well... Jennifer Lopez was well known in the Puerto Rican Community even back then, But Selena was famous in all the Whole Latino Communities in the United States. But you have a point. j. Lo wasn't well know across the U.S. unlike Selena who was and is well known Around the world.

I'm 56 yrs.young and loved her since the early 90s I was struck by her overwhelmingly warmth and purity with which the entertainment industry severely lacks. When I think of the great things she was about to go on to,and how she would of surpassed any and all female artist out there, and I mean ALL, and then to have that "THING" take her life I just break down like I was a little girl. . Why does everything have to be a competition with you people? Selena did her thing and was great. She'll forever be loved. Jennifer Lopez did a great job as Selena in the movie, and has done her own thing since then. So they laugh similarly.. it goes with Jennifer's voice. You can tell that it isn't a fake laugh. They don't dance the same or sing the same. Two completely different people. Let's not insult JLO... jeez.

She has said more than once howw much she admires and misses Selena. I plan to see JLo in person when she starts touring again and will buy a back stage pass in hopes of meeting her in person if possible. I can't think of anyone better to carry on Selena's dreams, if it wasn't for Jennifer I wouldn't know who Selena is and was. I can't get enough of her singing.

MoonlightGod, good video, I like the way you put it together. Selena and JLo do have very similar styles. On the Selena 10th Anniversary DVD set Jlo talks about this. I'm glad she did the movie, I never knew who Selena is and was until I saw the movie. Now I like all things Selena and enjoy JLo as a performer too.
