This young lady has a really nice voice. It's great to hear Jackie Evancho praise her, but truthfully she is not in the same league as Jackie or Faryl Smith or Patricia Janeckova, who in my opinion is the top young opera singer in the world today.
Maybe with time at Julliard Aria could sing opera, but with her voice as it is now it is not possible.
Your upper register is beautiful. The low notes are a bit of a stretch and don't compare with the higher ones ... have you tried moving this up a couple keys. It's a beautiful song, did you write it? You developed over the years into a beautiful young lady. I hope Jackie is so fortunate. She, unfortunately is being bashed by the "experts" for daring to sing arias without full operatic training, something you know is supercilious and elitist. Typical.
@primohomme Currently a high mezzo. Dolce has an extreme tessitura, the low notes are actually far below normal range and difficult. The high notes are inside the range.
I gotta say every time i listen to this song it makes me feel refreshed and this is the first time anyone has actually made me want to listen to this music amazing stuff keep it up
@operaqt When are you going to cut a CD? I'll be watching your career with interest, as with Jackie Evancho. I'm an old tenor who can still sing along with Andrea Boccelli. You're fortunate to have found your gift so early in life. Now you can work with it and shape it. Keep going!
@robertpost1221 I have two CD's - my first Baby Soprano is opera and was released in 2006 when I was 12. Two singles, Dolce and Now That I Know were released in 2011 and I have just released my new EP featuring 3 tracks Dolce (remastered), The Key & Now That I Know.

@asx5252 Core practice is still opera -everyday. Currently working on Una Voce Poco Fa with a great opera coach.... also an original songwriter and spoken word poet. As an artist covers several genres.

@operaqt I definitely understand that, i'm a soprano but my instructor always gives me alto songs, it's rough at first but it get's easier ant your range gets larger which is awesome.
She has a beautiful voice, a gift from the angels some might say! This song is so beautiful, and so full of emotion that I catch something new every time I watch/ listen to it! It is not Aria's job to act out her song, but rather to convey her message through her music! She did quite well at this, and if you couldn't see that, well then, that's sad and it's your own problem! I think I detect a bit of jealousy here. Aria, as a Vocal Performance graduate, I say brava and keep up the
I love this song so much! I just started listening to it just last night and I am still listening to it. I want to sing along but I can't find the lyrics :<
I'm surprised. After all those years of singing, you would think you would get an acting lesson, or at least learn how to sing a pop song. Its very stiff, not emotional at all and made me and my mother cringe.
@pongo1111 I dont understand. All those years of singing means she has to get acting lessons?
Huh, maybe, just maybe, she is going to go the route of an actual Musician and get by with her talent, not her abillity to look good on tv. Just a thought :)
i liked her better when she was 14 singing tears of an angel the second vid on the right cause of the song itself. that song is hard to sing but thats just my opinion.
u have a great voice for powerballads with your opera voice. Would love to hear u tackle songs like "Halo" "Memories" and "I will always love you"

@villeluv1 Thank you. Really glad you loved the song!! Yes, I'm actually a high mezzo. Much of this song, at the beginning is actually too low for me. The composer is from Italy, and the range of the song from low to high makes it very dramatic.

I like your confidence, it has both amazed and delighted me how you call yourself "amazing opera singer" in a video recorded you at such a young age; don't get me wrong, your courage is really rare, and I like that, you aren't afraid to show the world who you are and that's just cool. Young ppl like us (I'm 17, too) should express ourselves as healthy and nice as this, not by some cheap scandals like what are now floating all over the internet :)

No, wow-factor doesn't have to be x-factor of pop idol, or whatever. Some people have the instant 'Oh My goodness' effect which blows you away. Since you are not after that, I respect your answer, and all the best for the future. Your creativity will be rewarded, I'm sure.
@imissugrndmom Thanks! That's definitely great feedback. I love it when I hear people say they wouldn't ordinarily like this kind of music, and then they do. Usually that happens with my other songs as Dolce is more mainstream, but it happens a lot. :) Thanks for watching my video.
@operaqt as i said before i am not questioning your talent which is unbelievable i am just stating i was surprised, thank you for your reply. keep up the wonderful work!
@ksmcb21 Thank you! Yes I'm not surprised that you're surprised. The tessitura of this song has a very wide range. It starts out way too low for my range and then only in the chorus, gets comfortable. It's not easy for me to sing. But it turned out really nice in the end. I'm currently a high-mezzo soprano, my voice is getting a little higher with age.
Hi there, I have only just discovered you and your videos. It is amazing how you have grown from that cute little girl singing opera songs into the girl you are today. However I must say I was a little surprised to hear you singing like you are in this video, I was somewhat expecting a huge heart-wrenching ballad of some sort. I am not questioning your ability as a singer or a songwriter because you are superb, I just thought you may have continued down the opera route is all. Kindest regards.
@ksmcb21 My practice base continues to be classical music and operatic training. But I love to sing and compose other songs, including several new classics, which are not fully recorded yet. I wrote the lyrics to Dolce. My voice is classical. My imagination is unlimited.
@ksmcb21 It's a reality that opera and classical pieces are much more expensive to record. I plan on doing some once I have the funding in place. Right now I'm loving impressionist music, pieces by Debussy and Faure, also certain pieces by Vivaldi. Mozart always fits me well.
Good, but somehow doesn't capture the wow factor that other singers have. Maybe with time. You certainly don't lack the confidence and the self-awareness! Good luck for the future.
@nutritionistEsUK I may not be following that particular "wow factor" direction. My work is authentic and may not match what is popular in terms of "American Idol" types of vocals.
@Truthdiesfirst Wow!!! That's totally awesome! Thank you so much. We hope more people can see it and tell others about it. It has been posted only a short time.
Oh, this sounds SO much better now that her voice has matured and there aren't so many high notes...still too much vibrato for me, though. (I know some people like a lot of vibrato, but I just don't prefer it.)
@faymissk Thank you! This video was just posted recently so hopefully with some help from viewers like you, the word will spread. I invite you to rate Dolce on itunes.

Oh, this sounds SO much better now that her voice has matured and there aren't so many high notes...still too much vibrato for me, though. (I know some people like a lot of vibrato, but I just don't prefer it.)
