the pacquiao at 130 pounds was drained, and therefore not as strong. diaz on the other hand, is much more comfortable at 135, so his strength should be flowing.

marquez fought an aging casamayor, whereas diaz is young and hungry. marquez's chin is also suspect, as pacquiao has shown.

i'm expecting marquez to take a seat on the canvas at least once, i don't think he can stand up to the pressure, volume, and strength of diaz.

diaz has no power. if he was a knockout artist i would definately go with him, but unfortuantely he has no power. what diaz does is wear you down non stop, he tires you, he fustrates you with his work rate. he breaks his opponents down mentally. and if your out mentally then physicaly you die. but marquez is not like anyone diaz has ever fought. if frietas, julio diaz, katsidis, and campbell can hit diaz at will, then marquez will make mince meat out of him.

I admit, I can't help but root for Juan Diaz... though I feel that with skills, JMM can and will beat hi. I love Diaz's style, and his workrate and aggressiveness, but he lacks KO pop, whereas Marquez is more technical and has more power. Great matchup, and while I hope Diaz can win, I feel JMM will in the end.

This is a testament to how a "normal" guy can become extraordinary. I'm sure that when Dave started out he didnt think he would be talking to guys like Juan Diaz on the phone. This goes to show that if you have a passion for something then great things will materialise.

As for the fight its shows how good Juan Diaz is that this is a close fight. Hes fighting a guy that is on a par with the p4p no1 and its hard to call.

Since the fight between Diaz and Marquez was in talks, I always thought and still think Diaz will no doubt win. It's so hard to root for either or because both men are great but I just think Diaz being naturally bigger (true 135'er) also younger (even though age don't seem to matter for shit now-a-days) and faster is the edging factor. This is going to be one hell of a fight.
