"Jackpot" is Alana Jobson. A normal human who claims the identity of Sara Ehret (a registered super-human). Jobson took mutant growth hormones to gain her powers, and is eventually killed. Her, Ehret, and Mary-Jane's striking physical similarity is never explained. Nor is her motivation to become a super hero. It was a very dumb story arc.

Hello I think the whole Jackpot being so painfully obvious as some " lets make MJ a superhero too!" that was discarded when saner minds prevailed. It calls to mind the whole sad shameful period of Superman / Action comics when everybody from Lois to Jimmy O to Perry White to a ham sandwich would gain Superman's powers and hijinks would ensue.
