  • Who sings lead on this?

  • @julius6697 there really is no "lead" in this mix...but Evelyn Escalera was the "lead" singer on this record.

  • Wow...I used to have this cassette single....played it to death...

  • not bad, not bad...

personally, (& I have the 12") out of the remix series mixes, I prefer the Wicked Mix

that version can be found on - Wicked Mix 2...

it's well worth the search (h.i.n.t...4.s.h.a.r.e.d...)

  • yep thats the 90's alright :)

  • ooooooh WHITE!

  • fReEbAsE

  • Any body can easily nab this mp3 file at mp3tuber..net

  • you kids these days! Ha! this mix IS NOT AN ORIGINAL REMIX FROM THE ORIGINAL LP. This is an exclusive remix done by a remix company that was very, very, very popular amongst DJ's back in the 80's and early 90's call ULTIMIX!. This particular remix, is from Ultimix's 2nd remix project called FUNKYMIX. Again, this is a remix from a monthly subscription DJ remix service from back in the day, NOT the original 12' release. I know this because i played the piss out of this mix.

  • Nothing beats 80s Freestyle Music when it comes to dance music!

  • I remember I was in high school when this came out, going to dances in the gym this would blare huge speakers it was earth shattering to hear this echoing off the basketball court. MAN I miss those days!!!

  • Freestyle always.........

  • I got this CD! I didn't think they were real.

  • this video was the same level all the time, this is one of the reason that i dont like too much cover girls... they have a great music to dance a more and take us to another limit. For me the group of girl that was so marvelous and the best in this industry of freestyle was SWEET SENSATION.

  • i love the cover girls

  • wow and I though I was the only one who liked the Cover Girls.

  • whats the real title of the song for higher baby or the artist....i know its in the 70's era. great mix. tnx

  • back when I DJ'd this was the most requested and the best part about it was I could beat match it very easily so no matter what was playing I could fade it in with no problem. Hmmmm I think I know what I'm going to do today.

  • Club classic in the UK around 1990. National anthem on the house scene...

  • This song really brings back memories, cruising around 86street in Brooklyn

  • i was not born yet when this came out but im a fan they have a lot of cool songs

  • Holy shit....where is music like this any more??? You can dance to this all night...God I miss these days!

  • si sii siii xDD

  • This use to be jam back in the day.

  • Awesome Freestyle jam

  • Who did the breathing sounds?

By the way, the Cover Girls jam!

  • I first heard this song in 'Cool as Ice' [yep, I admit it!]. It wasn't on the soundtrack, so I had to buy the single. Great song. Very 90's.

  • Now this is what I'm talkin' about! I've always loved this song so much!!!! 10/10 stars all the way!!! Thank you so much for posting:=D You've put a smile on my face and now I'm dancin' like a fool (lol).

  • I am so glad to know I'm not the only that loved this song! My husband thinks I'm weird, because there was no real singing. That's ok though! got the album, and it's called the cover girls here it is, Fb is #2 baby!

  • I always loved the rhythm track to this song... Anyone know what the sample is? Is it Lyn Collins' "Think (About It)" sped up?

  • oooooooh shit. love this in the car way back when.

  • give u al my respect cover girls b4 destiny's child

  • This was their biggest hit. It was a quick mix done overnight to put on the flipside of the 12 inch.

  • Thanks 4 posting this remix. Funk Boutique, Wishing on a Star and Because of you are my favorites. I was a BIG Cover Girls fan in the mid 80-the 90's.
