yeah, fuck everyone criticizing this cover. you should give them props for picking an excellent song to cover and giving it their own flavor. if you like the original better, go listen to it, don't waste your time being a music snob on youtube, that's about the lowliest form of internet commentator that there is.
good job guys, i liked this, and the solo was ripping.
guh, i dont like it. fast solos like the one in this only prove to me that guitarists now have no creativeity and just play scales really fast. EPIC FAIL
You take a classic punk act like Wendy and the boys, and then try to "satan it up" in the typical gay ass way metal bands do, and it just sucks. I like metal, dude, but the original was a punk tune above all. And this shit seems to have missed that and lacks the balls the original had. This version is fail.
The energgy isn;t "different" here, if you ask me. It's nonexistant. This version is thin sounding and lacking in balls. Destruction usually makes decent music, but good solo or not, they pretty much proved they can't play punk with this remake.
I Love Tankard & Plasmatics!!!!

What I liked in this version: the ride cymbal in slow parts.
What I disliked in this version: the double bass drums in chorus, overall hastiness, not convincing...

This is a terrible cover to a great song. These guys don't come anywhere close.
This is where you douchebags ask me, "well why did you watch it then?"
The answer is simple, fuckstick. I was curious.
WCScum 3 years ago
Not anywhere close?
OK, the song does have a different energy, but the solo totally kicked the original solo's ass!

They really failed at this, in my opinion.
You take a classic punk act like Wendy and the boys, and then try to "satan it up" in the typical gay ass way metal bands do, and it just sucks. I like metal, dude, but the original was a punk tune above all. And this shit seems to have missed that and lacks the balls the original had. This version is fail.

um, ok, I simply asked about the solo, I understand the song has different energy, and you don't like it, but some do.
I asked about the solo, there is no denying, the destruction solo was quality, and I personally prefer it over the original.
Cuzcatan 2 years ago
A solo doesn't make a song, if you ask me.
The energgy isn;t "different" here, if you ask me. It's nonexistant. This version is thin sounding and lacking in balls. Destruction usually makes decent music, but good solo or not, they pretty much proved they can't play punk with this remake.

In other words: yes.
Thanks for your eventual answer.
IMO the solo is waaay better than the original,
Just like when green jelly covered black sabbath's "the mob rules" the solo was immensely enhanced.
I guess it is because a great solo is reworked.
