Precision Division specializes in circuit-level laptop motherboard repair. Repairs are performed at a computer controlled dark infrared rework station and monitored by continuous ESD event detection. BGA glues are chemically removed prior to rework.
Lol I'm on the same laptop and its been buggin' so many times. I have to use a monitor because the backlight is dead (which makes the purpose of a portable notebook redundant).
but heyy... I'm sure most of us TX1000 owners will probably never go back to Hp...
i hate to agree, but beachbummm69 you are right. I have had a few problems with this laptop and hp don't offer support for it anymore.
It gets incredably hot and has burn out before (as in just turned off and not on again because it was too hot) and now the wifi does'nt work. They seem to have limited life. But that aside they are fiarly good. Just has problems which hopefully future models will solve
Just to warn you, there's been a problem with these specific computers that cause the wi-fi card to stop working, then the entire motherboard. This has been happening to many people after the first 6 months. The laptop overheats and basically burns the card. At first the wi-fi will work on and off, but then it will stop and eventually the entire computer will just break. I warn you because it just happened to me today. :(
So far i have found that the laptop gets stupidly hot on the rear vents. Already the laptop has shutdown due to overheating. I have started wedging the back up to allow more airflow.
@boogieblues333 , It only happened to you 1 time? Heck, mine has done that ~55 times throughout its lifetime. It's wifi card got replaced 3 times, and the motherboard has gotten replaced 2 times. Even the hard drive had to get replaced once! Very, very defective machine. Now, it just runs super slow at random times.
yup, happened to me around january. The exact same thing! First the wifi went, then the computer would shut its self down, then to turn it on I would have to toggle the switch 5-10 times, finally one day the screen just went black. Luckily, it was under warranty and so they fixed it. They said it was the motherboard. But it has been giving decent performance since they fixed it.
if you go onto pc world,, then laptops then go to refurbished laptops and narrow it to Hewlett Packard. I looked this morning and the hp tx1000 is'nt on there, but there are hp tx2000's which is the upgraded version of this laptop, but it has an active digitizer which is better. They are around the same price. But i would really recommend the laptop.
