I have this webcam, sometimes the microphone WONT work, like with ustream and things like that. The video quality is great, even if it is 1.3 mega pixels. When the microphone DOES work, the quality is great. When I use this webcam with Skype, it's perfect. It automatically adjusts the lighting in the background so you don't look too dark or too light :)

I don't install the SW but it becomes increasingly more difficult to just install the drivers only. Logitech is not the only one; HP, Canon, MS, IBM...

It's a common trend that clogs memory with started tasks, makes the pc more vulnerable to errors and hacks and is completely unnecessary for operation of the device.

Why have software consistently running for a device you may use once a week or month???

My laptop screen is only 1280 x 768, so 1280 x 1024 resolution is perfect, and it is a fucking webcam, not a real camera, you want a real camera, you go to the store (with $750) and buy a Nikon D5000, otherwise, stop bitching.
