@TheAssassin646 Yes. However, every other DMC game has taken place before DMC2. DMC3 takes place before DMC1, and DMC4 takes place in between DMC1 & DMC2.

@TheAssassin646 Actually, from what I understand, the storyline for DMC5 will predate all the other games. Though, seeing how it's not being developed by Capcom, I'm not even sure it can be considered part of the series. For all I know, it could be a complete re-envisioning of the series, which would make the storyline irrelevant to the rest of the DMC games.

@clarkey21211 Though I'm sure a lot of people are gonna hate me for this, I have to agree with clarkey. This game was very easy. And, what Capcom has done to the DMC franchise is a shame. None of the sequels compare to, or even have the same feel as, the first one. Shit, even the anime series couldn't get it right. However, for the most part, I still enjoy these games and will continue playing them.

i played dmc 2 and for some reason i like it more than dmc 1 i think its cause dmc is like castlevania and all vampiric and all gothic soundtracks number 2 is just action

I'm the exact opposite because of the exact same reasons. lol. I'm a big fan of the horror gothy vampiric stuff. In DMC2 all the action, shooting, and kill kill kill is soo repetitive, it's just like any other *action action game. Also in DMC1 other than the scary stuff, it has more puzzles and tasks and bigger storyline. I find that enjoyable. Its kinda like a fictional horror novel in a way.

this is how the story goes DMC 3 dante kicks the crap out of his brother vergil to prevent him for becoming almighty DMC 2 dante stops the french DMC 1 dante meets his bro vergil again who is now posses and beats him (again) and vergil gives him his necklace to use the power of sparda to beat the devil. DMC ANIME SERIES dante opened a day care for children or some crap. DMC 4 dante is replace by a fag. end o story...for now

this game , DMC 2 is the last so far in the series, i believe the 5th one is going to be about vergil mainly. As you saw dante went to hell apperantly so maybe hes going to meet sparda or vergil. I think the 5th games gonna be about vergil.
