One of the biggest problems with Twilight is the lack of a strong villain. Take Victoria for instance. All she wanted to do was kill Bella. That's not really evil. It's more like a public service.
@ronin6401 I disagree, I think sometimes it doesn't need to be complex sometimes it's simple, love makes you do certai things, love doesn't make you think it makes you act. And also she's lived so long it's just a patch in her life, one moment doesn't really matter when you have eternity. She not supposed to be this complex villain that has a stream of things she's fighting for, ultimatley Twilight is a love story and the things you do for love are sometimes very simple.
@PhantomZoner75 Actually it does, the purpose of a villain is to challenge the hero. Without a strong villain to test them; the hero cannot rise above their limitations or develop as an individual. Plus, as I previously stated, killing Bella is more a public service than an act of evil.

You had stated that Bella wouln't be interested in Edward if he was average. All I'm pointing out is that you'd be more prone to falling for an attractive cold person rather than an average looking person that is cold, not that it's ok for attractive people to be cold. Are sexuallity makes us all superficial on some level.
