  • It´s a Transformer^^

  • its a self erecting crane, its ronseal, does exactly what it says on the tin lol

  • its called a self erector it does that it wasnt metal fatigue, it folds up and in

  • concrete pumper arm?

  • It's not collapsing, they are just folding it up.

  • Normally massive erections are impressive...

  • uh... neat.

  • Boring.

  • ...that is nothing special

  • simply folding the self erecting tower crane up,only gets a bit hairy in strong or cross winds

  • Looks like that crane forgot to take it's viagra!

  • Drove a self erector like that in Dublin airport for 6 months. Nothing unusual here. The operater is jus foldin it up.

  • zwykły żuraw samomontujący się (szybkiego montażu) :P

  • @sphinxrising58 Aye, you just proved it!

  • fail

  • not so very special

  • Very cool

  • so amazing

  • the one who puch the buttons for the crane is a heavy smoker i quess hehe

  • pocket sized

  • Engineering Miracle

  • cool video

  • i have always wonderd how those sort on cranes get transported

  • if u wonder how they set up n transort type in haegens kranen watch that vid of truck show amazing

  • It's just a Spierings AT5 mobile tower crane. It is build to do this up to 10 000 times. So don't panic :-)

  • Ive never seen a tower crane with knuckles

  • the crane's going into a praying mantis position.

  • WOW! So cool, bendy crane!

  • mikesndbs > "looks like bad metal fatigue"

The word "collapse" is misleading. It is indeed a folding crane. Outer section folds down, middle section folds upwards, inside section folds down into upright, and then entire thing lowers down for transport. Since there's no load on the hook hanging in the middle of the screen (middle of arm), there's no reason why this crane would collapse. Besides, middle section certainly wouldn't collapse upwards.

  • self erecting tower crane . easy to see

  • no it not any folding crane its a spierings one of the best mobile tower cranes on an all terrain truck best in the world from a spierings engineer

  • Thats is very weird. Looks like the metal bent due to fatigue. But it does it slow enough without breaking like if the crane is supposed to do that.

  • es falso

  • OMG we had one of these over our house for some months! looks like bad metal fatigue

  • It's amazing to watch!!

  • self erecting tower crane.

  • when it folds it sounds like a planes engine speeding up on the taxi bay anyone else think that?

  • why has this got 56000 views?

  • Dunno Gov!!

    Maybe a glitch somewhere?

    Heh heh

  • misleading text... collapse

    must be folding...

  • It's a mobile tower crane. Thats quite a big one as you can see the operators cabin is elevated. They have a lot more cables than normal crane to anchor its self to the base and for the operator to ride up and down. There are smaller more common mobile tower cranes which have a small lifting capacity and are remote operated from the ground. I've only seen one of these big fellas once.

  • baileys60 i used to work for spierings back in june of last year since we are in 09 now. I have operated these types of cranes although i am a mechanic the comditee of the combination is fantastic but the a frame holding the back the jib taught is a very unique design i reckon. but there is now a crawler tower crane out by spierings the only difference is it needs 2 trucks i was speaking to dave millington from york and he was on about buying one so hope to see them over here soon from holland

  • looks very much like the elements in livingston.. i watched that crane fold from the other side of the centre.. on that day IAN..!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Heh Heh!!

  • i just learned something . i never knew a crane could do that. i thought only with the jib

  • is that a bryn thomas?

  • hi before i started for spierings i live in flint and as far as i know now bryn has 1 3 axle 1 5 axle and a 6 axle in his colours and one 3 axle in yellow which always ceases to break down but it doesnt look like bryn thomas crane i love the colours of bryn thomas spierings the red design just thought id let you know look forward to hearing bk from you all

  • origami crane

  • it isnt collapsing ? it is like mlrs84 is saying!

  • what a "collapse"! This crane is designed to do so, thereby saving time and money in mounting and unmounting.
