I can tell you from my experience that they fight often over money and in private exhibit much anger and fighting at times.. I can't speak for all "Jews" however checking out friends of her family it would seem as if this is common place. They didn't want her sister to marry out the religion but she did anyway, they seem to get cold when they date outside.
