@DorianAilis Sorry to hear that. My older drawings don't always appeal to everyone's need's. I did a very simple composition that almost anybody could follow. My actual drawing skill is much better than this. Just check out my channel. My latest few videos will prove that to you.
I saw your steps on drawing the Mountain Landscape Picture I Just want to say your Drawing is Awesome you are very Talented and u inspire me to Enhance my Drawing Skills
it looks fake because of the outlines u need to make sure outlines dont show if they do then it will look fake theres also like no source of light and ya its bad
@AwesomexXxAustin Oh I know and I agree with you. I uploaded this 2 years ago and I was not very good back then. Everybody likes this tutorial because it is easy and approachable. It was never meant to look like a professional piece of art. Feel free to check out some of my latest videos. They are much better... I PROMISE!!
Great tutorial. It wasn't until you added the shading under the trees did the reflection in the water really pop out at me. Interesting. Keep up the good work!
I must say that this has given me new insight on my drawing, I havent drawn anything in years like 10yrs to be honest and here I am at work doing it again and with what you have here mine looks pretty close..thanks
@Zingam Well, I am glad you can draw better than this! This drawing is geared for people who are just learning how to draw and that is why it is a very simple drawing. Visit my channel, I have much more advanced stuff than this.
I'm sorry. I've been rude. In fact I'm learning how to draw too. I would say am a beginner too. But I really think you should try to do a better job even if it is for beginners. Well, the tutorial could be OK for 6 years olds though.
I really need some more advanced tutorial about trees and rocks. No matter how hard I try my drawings just don't feel right yet.
@Zingam I threw this tutorial together over a year ago and back then my drawing was a bit rusty and I myself am trying to perfect it every day. I never took this tutorial down because it gets quite a bit of views and the majority of the people really like it.
@TylersArtShack i cried cuz this is beautiful thanks and for ever one else even thou ur a begginger dont stop on to trying expert drawings cuz im a begginger
@Zingam yes we want to see your tutorials so people can criticize at them. I think the tutorial is great he makes it seem easy. Moreover, it explains much better the steps than most tutorials. Especially for us that just want to draw to relax bit once in while. However, I don´t think Tyler should worry bout the comments of an arrogant kid or teenager at most.

@1997boka He puts the horizon so close to the middle it looks like a mistake because the viewer might think that he was shooting to put it in the middle but missed. Art takes a life time to understand and you never stop learning but if you don't know the anatomy of what you're drawing like trees, mounting or water how can you draw them the right way? .
He needs to draw from life that’s what Thomas Cole did and Camille Corot along with Theodore Rousseau and Rosa Bonheur.
@tactical27 Shadowing is probably one of the most difficult things to do. It takes quite a bit of time and practice but personally, I add shadows as I go. Ill add them in whenever I see fit. What might help you is to check out some of my other tutorials on my channel. Just visit my channel and you will see the tutorial videos. You will probably want to check out the one on how to draw mountains. Hope this will help you out! good luck!
@1997boka I just would like you to know that this is not a tutorial to become a "master" artist. It is a basic tutorial to show how to attempt a drawing. I made this tutorial to a degree so that anybody could pick up a pencil and replicate this drawing. It is not a tutorial to show off my skills and not have anybody be able to replicate it.
@PLAY8OY11 Thanks. I learned how to draw from my grandmother when i was young. I can draw lots of other things but i mainly stick to landscapes. and yes i can draw eagles. I actually used to draw them a lot.
Hi:) thanks for making this! I am only 12 yrs old & I love 2 draw! I am wanting to be an artsit (and lots more things) and so I watch these videos 2 help me, shades are the hardest! What do you use for shades? I use charcoal, but like what do you use and what kind? Thanks!
@soweirdable Thanks for the comment. I use generals charcoal pencils most of the time and for the detailed parts. They come in different shades from HB (light) 2B 4B and 6B (darkest). I use HB and 2B the most since they are a mid tone and you can still gain very dark tones with it. But the range of that shade is very good. The 6B is very dark and I only use it in certain parts. Keep up the drawing!!
I have been looking on You Tube for weeks at charcoal how to videos and I must say
Yours is the best I have found. I like the way you tell what you are doing and how to do it. From your voice I can tell you are much younger than I am. It is refreshing to see a young man take pride in what he is doing and to take time to teach others is great.
I learned more from watching your video than all the others. I will be subscribing to your channel! Keep up the great work!!!
@henrycems Comments like yours are why I do this. I enjoy sharing my passion with the world and I also like to give them a hand along the way. I know that only a small portion will be able to replicate my work and go on themselves to be great artists. But I enjoy watching those small portions that do succeed. Thanks for the comment and the sub!
that looks .... bad

Hi Tyler,
We are a class of boys aged 10-12 in Australia. We enjoy watching your videos, they have inspired us during our art lessons.
And we think that they are awesome and you are really talented!
We recently had a go at creating this artwork by watching your tutorials.
We'd love you to check out our attempts at our blog:
missbeavis dot edublogs dot org - you'll need to scroll down a bit.
Thanks for sharing your artworks, and for teaching us some cool tricks!
Cheers, Miss B & 5/6J

why does the light come from above (trees).
im new to drawing, sorry if it seems to be a dump question!
