  • Is the pearl eliminator worth buying?

  • heel toe is better than this technque

  • @s3rTing Only for doing quick doublets, with swivel you can keep going. But i suppose its personal preferance.

  • @s3rTing no, sounds like shit and is not single stroke

  • @TheDeathplague Heel toe doesn't sound like shit. That makes no sense.

  • Nice! Thanx B sure to check out my unique style as well.

  • may i know the cam colour and the beater angle?and tjhe spring tension

  • awesome vid, my fave technique,..but fuck i sware my right knee is hurting badly from yesterday....maybe its something you get over

  • what are the songs that play at the beggaining and end

  • haha the description is so anatomically accurate, it made me laugh. good stuff though, a lot of metal drummers use this technique.

  • there is absolutelu no power in that

  • nice technique.....show more, though!

  • Ew that's fuckin' gross haha. Or you know, you could just play heels up and rebound the pedal twice and not fuck up your knee and look like a dumbass xD

  • i've problems with this: my foot after few time starts to slide down at the end of the pedal; and when i try to do that fast i don't know why but i start to play heel up. some tips?

  • perhaps because your body gets tight, and heel up is more natural. practice the EXACT movement very slowly for a long time...then slowly speed up. watch your feet when you do it..you make subtle changes. knowing this, you can try to fix the negative change that yours has (ie, playing heel up)

  • thanks another time xD

  • you're welcome..again, lol. trust me..i have been EXACTLY where you are, lol. wondering about every technique and all.

  • hi firend :), do you think it's better the swivel with loose or tight springs?

  • hmm....well, a tight spring allows for more rebound, but makes you do more work (as the spring is hard to press down) i, personally, have my pedals tight..but that's because i want a workout, lol.

  • yes! i adjusted my iron cobras yesterday and today in 10 minutes i got it with my right foot!! this aftenoon i'm practicing my left one too :D

  • good luck, dude. you'll get it if you keep trying it.

  • nice.... how do you know so much about knees and muscles and what not?

if that was you in this vid you're pretty awesome at this!

  • I'm a fitness trainer. Yes it was I in the video ^_^

  • @brenzig

hey how tight are your spings on thing?

maker a vid of you using both feet

    Please?

  • @brenzig It looks like you use more of arange of motion then I do tduring my swivel, so thats comforting to know it wont cause damage:), great vid! thanks for posting.

  • Dude really nice video i love it, how long did it took you to play that fast using the swivel???

    thanks for the nice tutorial!

  • It seems like you care a lot less about teaching the technique as you do about proving its not bad for your knees.

  • I totally don't care, right? That's why I've I tried making these as quick and as easy to learn as possible. I had a lot of crap comments about it was bad for knees so I defended it by giving a full description of what muscles to not incorporate. Sometimes learning to relax certain muscle groups will help focus the involvement of proper muscle groups for specific motions. I find this technique obsolete now though. Once you get the motion completely relaxed, it's a lot like the moeller.

  • @brenzig really man,it's not about 12 yold gay Kollias fans,it's about what doctors,Dave Weckl,Virgil Donati and Kollias said. You can get the same results with the ankle motion, you really should. Think about it,I don't want to have an argument with you!

  • hey thanks a lot for the video really want to develop this technique but i was moving my whole leg

  • could you show me heel up i would really love to learn heel up...i know heel down but i really hate it because i cant achieve speeds i want and i know i could speeds i need in heel up...i play metalcore/deathmetal sort of stuff and i could use some advice =D

  • Heel up is fairly simple. Just kind of push how u would with your heel down while your heel is off the ground. If u go slower u can get more power out of using more of your legs. If you want to go faster just rely on your ankles. Hopefully i helped you, heel up was just kind of natural for me.

  • its really simple put your heal up and just ram your foot into the petal with great anger

but make sure your foot is on the pedal the whole time

  • I usually think about ex girlfriends when using heel up to achieve the highest angry to give me the hardest hits on the kick drum!

  • lol this is hard got any advice for practicing it?

    great vid btw

  • read the description and apply the muscle focus. give it time bro! give it like 2 hours a day and you'll be killing it in no time

  • ill try but the most time i can give it a day is like 45 minutes to 1 hour because all the homework and gym and stuff but thanks

  • amazing technique

great explanation, i did what you said about feeling the muscles in your legs and i see what you mean.

i have been working on this technique for a while but after i wtched your vid my progress sky rocketed.

post more videos on your other techniques

    plz and thanks

  • Thank you so much for the awesome feed back. I really love knowing I'm helping someone! I'll be filming more soon!

  • wow, I like your explanation, especially on the "more info"

For comments below me, I think actually it's not your knee or muscle which is damaged here. But your ligaments and tendons. can be sprain or strain. I hope not strain, because it's the worse one

Hey, it's very difficult to swivel man, but I think you''ve got nice explanation there.Because calf is stronger then tibialis anterior right? sigh, practice, practice, practice.....

  • hows the swivel working out?

  • difficult, I don't have enough time for practicing.

lol. But I've been practicing sliding and have improved it. Thanks for the video. Good explanation.

  • George Kollias has said that the swivel will eventually damage your knees. It all depends on how you do it, if you swing out with your knees, or at that height, you could mess your knees up... rather swing out by the ankle and you should be fine.

  • Feel the upper more outside quarter of your calves while performing the swivel. It should flex on and off. If you're feeling pain in the ankle or knee try relaxing more. You should focus only on the plantarflexion movement of the talus in your ankle. As in only worrying about stepping back up into heel up. The heel down motion is a relaxing step. I just let my leg fall into heel down to only be thrown back up by the pushing motion off the ball of my foot.

  • alright man!

cant wait to try this out!

i like how u xplained how to do it, not just show off how gud u r at it

    keep up da gud work!

  • how's the swivel technique treating ya bro?

  • I do Swivel on Iron Cobras. Best pedal technique out there!!

  • it's quite helpful!

  • finially a vid that shows how to actually swivel kick!

  • thanks for the great comment!

  • Hi dude! Really like your videos! I just have one question, what spring tension do you prefer and why?

  • High!

  • Does are long boards right? Cuz i have a short board so i can do it with my feet in the middle, not at the end of teh board.

  • Those are pearl eliminators. It's possible on any pedal I think =]

  • A question.. HOW MANY TECHNIQUES DO YOU KNOW??? I've seen like 1000000 vids from you and you have diferent techniques. lol. It's amazing. I know the swivel, high heel, down heel..(can't learn heel toe cuz it's short board). for hands.. i know. wrist and fingers. Maybe i know one more, but i dont know the name. xD. Your vids are awesome btw. Keep going.

  • lol, no idea! I just keep looking and studying =]

Keep studying and studying bro! and practice too! Thank you for the kind words! be blessed!

    -Brennen

  • I keep looking on youtube for vids. Nice to find someone that teaches good and simple.

  • high tension is good cauz it bring the beater back fast ( im not vry good at drum advice :P im no pro ) i use high tension too :D

but in high u hav to press harder compared to low or medium tension

    XD cheers
