I used to want an LG Arena (the first version) and a friend of mine bought it.
It was a nice phone, but after about a month, he realised it was bad =s.
My opinion: You do have the money, so why not buying a Nokia E7, Nokia N8, HTC Desire Z, Acer Stream, Acer Neotouch s200, HTC Trophy or a HTC Mozart... =D
@DolceEGabriel im quite confident in saying its the best thing ive ever bought, it came out a while ago but its still an amazing phone :) i got mine second hand but even that was great, my milestone is currently rooted running android 2.3.2 gingerbread and has been overclocked to 1.2ghz so its hardly out of date :P i cant really think of any bad things about it to be honest, build quality is outstanding, speaker is very loud and its on stock android so its fast go ahead and buy one it immense :)
@DolceEGabriel also i did a video on it- its my first youtube video and it isnt that much in depth but it has some opinions which unboxing videos dont have :P type into youtube search 'techjunkiereviews and it should be the third result that comes up sorry i cant send a limk your not allowed to paste links in comments
What phone is better for the price? LG Shine Plus ($50, $30 per month) or Motorola Milestone ($90, $50 per month) I'm in need of a phone, and I love both of them, but I would like to keep the price pretty low.. Thanks.
This phone isn't only sold on GSM. In Canada it is on the HSPA (high speed packet access) HSPA+ or WCDMA (wide band CDMA) 3G+ network and use SIM cards. They also roam on GSM towers as well. Vancouver is 4G coverage. They had to put up some more GSM towers for the Olympics. 4 million a pop. That's why when you are with Rogers and Fido our two GSM carriers, and you live in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan you get 2 bars, and dropped calls in the grocery store.
Everyone, I would like something new. A data phone. (Not a blackberry or and iPhone 4) But I would like to spoil myself and get a fancy new phone. I would like to get the Milestone! What do you all think? I would also like to say I really enjoyed your review! I've been watching lots!
In Canada with TELUS, none of the 3G+ phones come with SIM cards in the box, but are packaged in at purchase once the activation is done. The Milestone is $150 CAD on a 3 yr contract. Buyout is $599.99
if i bought this phone on a contract would it come with the sim card in the box or in a seperate package, or would i have to buy it separatly? this is my first contract phone so i really dont have a clue.
Great Vid, I nver liked Motorola, but Im really suprised how much I like this phone, Im thinking of getting this on contract but waiting for my contract to end in April but who knows, maybe I might choose another one, but I do know I want a phone with a full qwerty keyboard.
i got the nokia n900 and i love it but if i did not get it this is the other phone i would get. good one Moto!! next in line would be nexus one or droid.
@leodee there the same but the difference is one runs with gsm and the other i belive with gda gsm meaning it has the simcard input hold and gsa means it doesnt need simcard does are the phone verizon and metro pcs use and some srprint tmobile uses gsm phone ass well as at&t
@leodee actually there are some differences the milestone has multitouch, android 2.1 and moto-nav while the droid does not have multitouch, android 2.2 and google maps. I hope I didn't miss any differences.
@leodee In the US the Droid doesn't support multi-touch like the Milestone does here in the UK. All you have to do is watch some of the American vids on the Droid on Youtube :)
Best Phone in The world. I have a g1, iphone 3gs, mytouch, nexus one, every nokia, touch pro 2, htc hd2, gsm hero, sprint hero, and this is the best phone!
This phone is better than the nexus one mainly because of how its built. Ive droped this phone plenty and not even a scratch. Software is going to be pretty much the same. Nexus one feels like a toy
@gs950is: it depends on your demand. To tell the truth, HD2 keyboard is not so good, compared to Iphone keyboard, so if you're a heavy chatter, HD2 may make you crazy! Otherwise, HD2 is a best choice for a speed smartphone now!
I watched in some of the reviews of Motorola Droid and its sliding mechanism is not so solid, when the phone in portrait mode, the screen moves a little bit. Does it happen with this phone leodee?

TheCodKiosk 1 year ago
@TheCodKiosk If you calculate it, it's frickin expensive xp.
here in Belgium - I'm Romanian btw =D - there is Telenet.
It's an internet provider and they're offering this telephone for 1 euro xp.
Well...in combination with: Telenet Walk & Talk 45 (for 2 years). That's 45 euro/month for 24 months =O !!.
It's crazy. I wouldn't recommend this or other promotions in combination with a contract... =)
